Tax code reform looks like a pipe dream.

It's an interesting article, I like the Guardian, and God knows, no one is against helping veterans.
But the Trump administration is a long way from being successful, even on its own terms. The best success Trump
can claim is a Supreme Court Justice and some cabinet members who will push conservative policies.

I don't think Trump will be successful on his own terms get what he wants unless he stops acting like a petulant teenager with and uncensored twitter account. And I don't see any signs that's happening any time soon.
To be fair the things that have not gotten done you listed requires support from Congress or other countries leaders. Things that he can initiate himself have gone better than your examples. All we heard the last 6 years of Obama was blaming the GOP in congress as the excuse for not getting much done which is why he turned to the executive order so often. And Trump is on an island with most of congress even his own GOP. And yes it is his fault for most of that.

Regarding N. Korea. Obama ignored them for 8 years and they just went along and keep building up their war arsenal. It is too early to say if Trump's more aggressive tone will do anything or if anything short of an all out military attack will stop them, and no one wants that. Give it time.

Regarding jobs. I think companies have been put on notice who want to move offshore or use Mexico to produce their goods. There is a potential PR nightmare and I have seen businesses promote their use of American manufacturing in a way that has been missing. If Trump calls them out personally it effects them in a big way. It is hard to change 20 plus years of erosion of our manufacturing sector but anything is better than nothing. And there has been improvement.

I wonder if these are the same Indians the Guardian talked about?

I don't think there's a person that is concerned about the success of our country that wants to see a president fail. If there are Liberals that want to see Trump go down based on anything less then the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, then shame on you. I have serious doubts whether Trump has the best interest of our country at heart. I have a very low opinion of some of his cabinet picks and his many conflicts of interest. If he does wind up doing a great job, all the better.

Opinion pieces are just that. Opinions. Show me the money honey.
There are liberals that would be fine with Trump failing no matter what damage that might cause. Just like there were conservatives with the same attitude about Obama. But these are unhinged people who don't get the big picture.

IMHO we had a POTUS for the last 8 years who showed on many occasions that he did not have the best interest of the country at heart. I think Trump has displayed a love for America that Obama never looked comfortable in displaying. Actions like encouraging people to illegally cross into our country by easing immigration laws and letting lightly vetted refugees here helps these people but were not in Americas best interest. I could easily name dozens of examples.

Talking Liberals worst nightmare: a successful Donald Trump presidency

Support for trump's impeachment is 10% higher than his approval rating.

Support for Donald Trump's Impeachment Is Way Higher Than His Latest Approval Rating

Success, you say.

How'd ya feel about Trump hosting someone at the White House who said Obama should suck the barrel of his machine gun? Or is your feigned outrage and disdain for violence purely partisan?
In other words, you've proven my point. A lib simply can't understand the irony of their own position.

So far, the libs are the only ones I have seen actually pick up a firearm and shoot an opposing member of congress, while attempting to do the same to several others.......tell me, who's feigning what? Seems to me it is a matter of rhetoric vs. actual practice.

The only outrage I have is for communists/socialists. Their history is replete with force and violence, the way of the left. Followed by lies, to justify it all.

Success, you say.

I would say the MSM is having some success casting Trump in a negative light. Citing two different polls, one which is funded by a liberal polling group is a bit disingenuous to say the least. More fake news.

This is why we have elections. Let us see how things are in 2020

I think Dems are less likely than Republicans to bite off their noses to spite their faces. Trump's an incompetent idiot, but if America thrives in spite of his ineptitude, I will he as satisfied as the most devout Trump worshipper. I'll believe it when I see it.

Could not have said it better. The narrow-minded simple members of the GOP party (not all Republicans are like this at all) think we liberals just want Trump to fail. Nothing could be further from the truth ... we desperately WANT him to succeed...every day I hope that this will be the day he figures out how to be presidential, to keep his tweet-mouth shut and stop all the shaming, blaming and whining he is constantly doing. Our safety depends on him learning what it takes...but every day, he seems to deteriorate downward into a worse caricature of who he actually used to be ... and that wasn't all that great to begin with, but he now behaves like a whiny baby.

OP, you really don't understand a thing about all this apparently.

Republicans' worst nightmare - unsuccessful Donald Trump. Just like now.

Trump steers off course from the GOP agenda every day. He bullies members of his own party and people on his staff and there is friction and chaos, initiated by Trump. He's too focused on his own ego and weekend golfing to get anything done. He pretty much has put the GOP agenda on pause.

Not really. I am sure a lot of Republicans would be fine if he quit or got impeached and Pence took over. That would be another liberal nightmare. No more Trump to kick around.
