Every single thread on this forum is filled with the same Trump supporter responses, almost word for word.

Claim: "I don't believe the polls because they said Trump would lose!"
Reality: National polls were correct, as Hillary did indeed win more votes and was within the margin of error. Even the majority of state polls were close to accurate. Only in swing states, which for some reason weren't highly polled in 2016, seemed to be off. In any case, the claim that all the polls were wrong is simply a lie.

Claim: "It's the Left causing violence and lowering civility, not Trump!"
Reality: Trump ran his campaign on insulting just about everyone while simultaneously attacking the media and using Twitter to attack dissent. He also repeatedly called for his supporters to commit violence against protesters, even suggesting at least twice that gun owners should assassinate Clinton. All of that behavior has continued since he has come into office. The VAST majority of protests and protesters have been peaceful, and calling out the despicable behavior of Trump and his supporters is not in and of itself lowering civility.

Those are just two of the common responses.

The saddest part about this is how Trumpers embrace it. How many times have Trump supporters on here laughed about how Trump is "trolling" the media? As if that's a good thing. Yeah, America is winning because Trump made fun of a woman's plastic surgery.

I hate that I have to say it in damn near every thread, but it's true. If Obama had said or tweeted half the stuff Trump has, these Trump voters would be calling for his impeachment.

But sinceTrump is such an obnoxious, arrogant, misogynistic pig, his supporters have to keep lowering the standards for what is considered appropriate behavior of a president.

Civility has dropped long before Trump was elected.

It dropped long before that.
Bush Sr was just about the end of any civility between parties and our politics.
