Not un-American. Just sour grapes. This year has seen a bumper crop.

I wouldn't say the country feels like or in any way resembles a third world country. The term is frankly outdated in my mind.

But civility is clearly in decline.

People no longer seem able or willing to have reasonable discussions. And it's one thing for the public to suffer from this, but our representatives won't even properly debate any more. This is unacceptable, and while I think blaming this phenomenon on Trump would be absurd, he's definitely not helping by tweeting out memes.

Investigations have yet to prove Donald Trump is a legitimate President. Also, Donald Trump does have a petulant mindset.

Poll: 70 percent say civility has dropped since Trump
The 3rd world of what you speak of is the Liberal Crybabies that haven't accepted the results of the election and are trying to overthrow him.

I think it went down hill under President Reagan. The MSM spent every minute of everyday attacking him.

I agree. The political tone has become outrageously uncivil due to the Left's unwillingness to accept the voters' choice of President.

The pollsters didn't ask participants a follow up question regarding who Americans believe is responsible for the "less civil" political environment? If they had asked me, the lack of civility lies with Leftists' protesting, biased media reporting, and violence.
The OP using the word selected rather than elected being one example.
