Probably a fake photograph. Looks more like a circus photo.

However, do not allow my skepticism to ruin your thoughts or new-found opinions.

I stand corrected. It is a true photograph:

Scary Playground

Well, we have a problem. Many "Trump" posters claim that Snopes is 'fake' news. Yet, already, some have adhered to this report. What is true, and what is fake?

Aw, why does everything have to be political? Can't we just take a trip down memory lane?

Real playground, but not a school one. This was a public park in Dallas, TX, about 10 mins from me.

Again, a part of that playset was at my elementary school in the '70s. I grew up in Houston, so maybe it was from the same company.

This thread got me to thinking of how lax all my elementary schools were (I went to four different ones). When I was in 6th grade (still elementary then), I was walking around the playground/fields with my friends at recess, and these boys were throwing darts into the ground. I just happened to walk by at the wrong time, and one of those darts landed in my foot. Yeah, that happened.

I can't imagine the teachers at my kids' school ever allowing real darts on school property, but our teachers were just blase about it. My teacher basically told me to suck it up and put a bandaid on it. I went back to playing right after that.

I looked at the link on Snopes. It was some after school program to watch the kids while their parents worked. I didn't even know they had a need for programs like that then, but it was poor kids so I guess both parents had to work.

The dangerous playgrounds of 1900s

I'm excited to report that we are just 22 laws away from perfect and absolute Utopia.
