Trump bullying and alienating our long time allies does just what he campaigned on how he would handle N. Korea "We will go it alone".

His inexperience and ego puts this whole country in jeopardy. Dealing with international crisis is a joint effort but his narcissist business approach doesn't work in the global political climate.

Tillerson just asked for a Global Approach to the situation, Trump killed that opportunity.

Looks to me like we are actually trying to deal with the problem instead of Obama's "Strategic Patience" which gave NK 8 years to research weapons and missiles to get us to where we are NOW.

If it's starts it's going to be ugly, scary, and alarming on a scale Americans have never seen in the past two generations. There is no measure to this potential conflict.

Steel yourselves folks. If he actually has a missile which could reach Anchorage, Honolulu, or Seattle we are going to see things we have never seen before. Let's all pray China stops this little monster.

Water, food, communication and power.
"The book" by Chance and Change is not appropriate because it's the typical long winded left wing rant against the right instead of actually discussing solutions in a SHORT, readable, concise and coherent manner.

Agree but for different reasons.

What exactly did Obama do? Or Bush for that matter?
NK has been simmering and headed for a (Nuclear) showdown for over a decade, one has to ask why has it been allowed to do so for so long?

Exactly. Let's remember who the former president called 1st upon his 08 election.

oh bull. LOL

So by your logic...North Korea never taunted OBama because of the 'strategic patience'...but North Korea is ready to taunt and poke and get into a pissing contest with Trump because ......why?

That's some kool-aid drinking thinking there.

It is interesting that North Korea is ready to get into a pissing contest with a thin skinned, short tempered President.

That is a great question. They are a terrible problem that is getting worse. They seem intent on causing a terrible conflict that will kill hundreds of thousands of people.

There has to be a way to take out their leadership without harming civilians. We need to get together with our British Allies and figure this one out.

America can't defend anything abroad. Iraq and Afghan proved it. Think about it - we went in and quickly toppled them. But now, a decade and some later, both say we are in "retreat"... Retreat!

The masses are brainwashed into believing America is the mightiest this and that. We aren't. Powerful, yes we are still powerful. However, if North Korea vanished today, the problems inside America would still be collapsing it before all our eyes. As someone pointed out, Russia just bought our election. You can blame Trump, but Putin could not have done so without a lot of people jumping on board.

We're sinking folks. People are scrambling for life vests, like the Trump family. We're content to ride motorcycles and carry guns while China builds super colliders and global industry. We're locking our people up and legalizing drugs, they're moving their people up.
