By a thug with a long history of violence who made it clear he was going hunting for cops. Why didn't anyone stop this lunatic before he could do damage.
Bought on the street or stole it. No gun laws, NOT ANY, would prevent this. That's what some imbeciles will never understand. THERE IS NO LAW THAT COULD PREVENT THIS!
Heck, there is capital punishment for murder, and it's obvious with this sad case, that criminals and psychopaths simply do not care about the law in no way whatsoever.

Yeah, more than likely this is happening. All I know, it's going to get worse now. Cops will be on edge, and anyone coming up to them that looks even a bit suspicious, expect even more shoot first, ask questions later.

People don't care about the law when they made up their mind they will go down in blaze of gun fire or at a self inflicted gun shot. You can't punish people who are ready to die. Laws are ineffective against those people. In totalitarian countries, the government retaliates against love ones, which is why you don't see many lone wolfs. Perhaps the person doesn't care about his well being, but he/she might care about other people.

Numbers were posted earlier in this thread that disputes that.
When you allow a hate group to block freeways and chant death threats to cops w/o fear of reprisal.............what do you expect ?
If pro life groups marched chanting........." abortion doctors, kill them "........this pro-lifer person would denounce them and hope police arrest them.
Why are there different rules depending on what group you belong to ?

Castile was shot dead in his car despite committing no crime, just like this officer. Why can't I equate the two?
I'm equating them regardless. Both shot dead for absolutely nothing.

In the Castile case, a jury acquitted the police officer after hearing the evidence.
When this cop killer goes to trial and a jury acquits him , you may have a point.
