Gee....maybe read the responses and the OP....we are not talking about groups of people going out....
Oh, I didn't always go out with a group. Frequently I was also meeting a fellow environmentalist (but male) at a remote site and we would go out together, just the two of us, for dinner and/or drinks. It simply didn't make any difference, because we were both at the site to do a JOB, not get up to hanky panky. And there sure wasn't anyone else in the office for a "closed door" session with the Admiral, Colonel, or the JAG Officer. I guess I should have been wary of them chasing me around the desk, but it just didn't happen.
Yeah, really. Isn't that the basic plot for a lot of porn movies? Yanno, repairman enters the kitchen, sees the busty housewife, and hijinks ensue on top of the polished granite countertops.

This seems to say that men are more at risk to false accusations than women are at risk for harassment. They are the ones who should have been wary of you.
You are a decent person? It goes on everyday with zero negative repercussions. There is nothing wrong with complementing someone.
"That is a nice suit, is it new"? is a complement. "Your **** look great in that jacket" rarely is.
You may believe that these are innocuous comments, but they do upset some people. I have been involved in situations with employees that were very upset about exactly the same type of comments that you think are no big deal. There is simply no reason to make a comment about someone's appearance, clothing choices, etc. in the workplace.
If you want to hookup, go to the club and if you want to make sartorial observations attend a fashion show.

WOW, you are really stretching it here....I have had a few women in charge of me while in the military, completely different situation....
And your chasing around the table, is kinda stupid....did you really think that we meant all men or women did this....come on, where is the common sense factor....
It does happen....it may not with you or any of the other posters that are like "well I've never seen it happen", but do you think it does not happen? If it does not, then why all this training that most everyone in business environment has to take?
Good lord people, think a little....
