Congress is finally asking to see the phone and email records for the meeting.
According to a new CBS News report , there is "high interest" among congressional investigators to obtain Trump Jr's cell phone records, phone records and all email accounts of individuals involved in the meeting.
A most excellent article where 12 University legal professors basically agree it really was a big deal for POTUS to write a misleading statement about the meeting.
And no, Alan Dershowitz is not one of the 12. That guy always claims nothing Trump does is a problem.
This will all amount to nothing.
IMO this whole thing came to light when Kushner amended his security clearance forms.
Someone leaked the info re this meeting from his forms to the NY Times.
In any case, the info was all on Kushners forms after he amended them, so the idea that anyone could be obstructing the investigation loses all traction.
The information was there for Mueller to do what he wanted with it.

Then why convene a Grand Jury to present evidence of the crimes? federal grand juries indict
99 percent of the time
"Veselnitskaya repeated that her meeting with Donald Trump Jr on June 9, 2016 in New York City was not related to the US presidential campaign," ...
"It was a totally normal request for anyone who could be of any help in Congress to let congresspeople know what had truly happened to Mr. Browder in Russia,"
So if it was all about congresspeople, and had nothing to do with the campaign, why was she not meeting with congresspeople instead of campaign people?
He's busy - wait for it - saying that a special counsel shouldn't go on a fishing expedition.
Possibly one of the least self-aware statements someone other than Trump has ever uttered.

During an appearance on CNN New Day, Starr was questioned on whether he thought Mueller was going beyond the mandate of the investigation.
“The mandate that Bob Mueller received has some broad language, including ‘related-to’ type of language, which tends to open the door, but there are some checks and balances,” Starr continued to say, “We don’t want investigators and prosecutors out on a fishing expedition.”
