You forget that it was former Obama voters that swung the presidential election. You forget about Trump's approval ratings and people wishing that he would just shut up and produce results.

I can't wait for the GOP budget showdown..... let's see if the GOP can produce results after 8 years of whining.

You mean those white working class workers in Michigan,Wisconsin and Pennsylvania who see their jobs shipped overseas and given to illegals who work for less wages? Yeah couldn't imagine why they would want a wall! . They voted for Obama because he LIED that he was going to help them. If they wanted more of the same old BS that Obama fed them they would have stuck with Clinton yet they didn't,they voted for President Trump as you said. They want DIFFERENT!

It appears that some people just aren't that educated when it comes to understanding exactly why a secure border is important. Even if you take away the elements of illegal immigrants costing American taxpayers when it comes to the costs associated with education, healthcare, and incarceration, there are still security risks and let's not forget the threats to public health - health risks associated with illegal immigrants coming into the country who haven't followed protocol or undergone medical screenings to ensure they are not bearing contagious diseases.

I know, isn't it amazing how the liberal left just turns a blind eye to all of this? The good walls already in place on our border have already prove to be very effective. All we need to do is built the 700 mile long wall on the most porous areas of the border already approved by congress in 2006. It will force illegal aliens to try and enter in more dangerous and difficult areas so fewer will try.

Why is it too late to stop more from coming here? Internal enforcement will take care of those already here. I'm all for going after the employers but we'd need to end birthright citizenship for their kids also and deny them any benefits on our soil. It has to be a total package. By the way, terrorists and criminals aren't looking for jobs.

The wall is a boondoggle? How so? Congress approved it back in 2006.

That's funny considering that the wall was one of the main campaign promises of Trump and he was elected. Those polled don't think the wall would be effective? What do they know? Do they know more than the experts?

?

I don't think being pro illegal immigration in any form is a winner. Border security, anti illegal inmigration, America first trade deals and policies , anti job outsourcing, rebuilding infrastructure , etc are what propelled trump to victory

Democrats for most of the 20th century were for all of these, especially pro union dems . Now the democrats are run by identity groups and need demographic change and the browning of America to win elections

yet like everything else Trumpy promised you , you are not getting it. so sad, Trump lied about the cost of the wall , he lied about mexico paying for it and he lied about it being needed. Trump has yet again failed his supporters and proven he has no deal making skills at all.

If Trump was such a great deal maker he would have this wall funded and underway. Trump failed you, he lied to you and he laughed about it all the way to the bank. You should send him some money.

The Republicans don't want to shut down the government over a border wall that doesn't even have the support in Congress of the Representatives and Senators who represent the territory on the southwest border.

Quote:
"The representatives of border districts, even those advocating for stricter border security, say Trump's focus on a physical wall is misplaced and a waste of taxpayer money. Drug smugglers and human traffickers "will go over, through, or under physical barriers, sometimes pretty quickly," Rep. Martha McSally (R-Ariz.) told The Wall Street Journal. Last month, the newspaper found similar sentiments among Arizona's border ranchers, who strongly support Trump.

No member of Congress along the U.S. border with Mexico wants to fund Trump's border wall
It doesn't have the support to pass. It's going nowhere.

Now will the Freedom Caucus attempt to shut down the government anyway? Probably. They're stupid that way.
