Sanders would have been better for them likely than Hillary? Anyone know?
Russians ( the general population that is) don't know who Sanders is. After Bill Clinton ( supposedly Democrat) promoted the the ultra-right cut-throat policies and "wild capitalism" there, Russians do not see the difference between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. So when Hillary was nominated as presidential candidate from Dem. Party - those were VERY GOOD news for Putin kinda, because the hatred for her among general Russian population ( both for her and her husband) was going strong, which was playing straight in Putin's hands for obvious reasons. The last thing he needed was her "hawkish approach" and more sanctions. So Trump was sold to Russian population by state media as "choice of American people VS corrupt democratic establishment" - i.e. Clintons.
But if someone like Sanders would have showed up on a scene instead, someone completely new with a "Socialist" message - this could have been very bad news for Putin and Co, because the "Socialist message" is precisely the one he is afraid to receive from his own population.
Sanders would have certainly been better for the RUSSIANS-RUSSIANS-RUSSIANS. Odd that IF the RUSSIANS-RUSSIANS-RUSSIANS were going to Steal the Election from The Presumptive Queen, that they failed to Steal it for Sanders.
I'm still trying to figure out HOW those RUSSIANS-RUSSIANS-RUSSIANS kept Hillary from going to Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania ..... all those BLUE States she lost. It's a mystery how they did that.

Agree. Sanders likely would have been even less malleable than Clinton. Appearances do seem to indicate that Trump is beholden to Putin in some way. He's a blustery/crusty cantankerous bully with EVERYONE but Putin, with whom he seems very deferential. You don't even have to listen to him talk, which I don't. Just watch the body language.
Absolutely, you watch how he speaks and acts with Putin and how he acts with everyone else and it's very obvious that Putin has something on him that he is terrified would be leaked. He is beholden to Putin and only his supporters keep ignoring the signs
So all we have is a bunch of conspiracy theories with no proof. Figures
What happened in chambers of Democratic party between Clinton and Sanders ( and their supporters) has got nothing to do with Russians, but God and God only)))
The Russians couldn't worry about Hillary and Bernie...they had their hands full trying to get Trump through the primaries and debates. They had to be sure to get the dirt on Cruz, Rubio, JEB, Carson, Christie...AKA the silent ones.
