the funny thing is they keep saying the global sea level is rising... yet the tower of London was built 1000 years ago AT SEA LEVEL, and is still at sea level..... why tectonic plates and their not only lateral movement but their vertical movement also
most tectonic plates are rising so any sea level rise is negated, although some of the plates are sinking, which is why you have such different raise of sea level rise/fall depending on where the measurements are take from

And the fact that it isn't regularly inundated has nothing to do with the Thames Barrier, right?

uhm the Thames Barrier was complete in 1982, came to operation in 1984 and is designed to protect London against a very high storm flood levels . It is used 3–5 times per year.
has NOTHING to do with the sea level, but everything to do with storms
btw the barrier is 12KM (about 8 miles) away from the tower of london
Al and Tipper Gore have picked up a $8.875M luxury getaway in Montecito, CA; a swanky zip code that has attracted big name residents like Oprah Winfrey, Steve Martin, and Kirk Douglas. Records show that the approximately 6,500 sq. foot home boasts 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, a large pool house, 6 fireplaces, wood framed french doors, and carved stone detailing throughout.

Through the end of the last century it was used 0-5 times a year. In the past 17 years, it's been used far more frequently. In 2013-2014, it was used 50 times, and the average is now 6-7 times/year. Sea level rise is one of the factors for more frequent flooding.
