As a former chemistry teacher I agree. Outside of industry there really is no reason to have concentrated acids. Why home school supply sites sell them is beyond me. They aren't safe to use outside of a lab setting under a hood.

Don't you love it when the Op's agenda falls apart.

Op can you also tell me why "terrible/Muslim infested" London has a lower murder rate than mostly all white Glasgow and even many Japanese cities like Osaka. I thought the Muslims were here to kill everyone?

Yeah, one would think. It's a slippery slope. "Man", (being biblical here), is fallen. So, government ought to just butt out trying to save man from herself. I'm sure the Koran, Torah and so on have the same concept on fallen.

Don't be sensitive there Brave. I land at Heathrow, will be in the UK, including London for better part of a month. Not slamming the UK, nor London.

I do think government often overreacts, though. Like execution for a murder 'hate crime' in the U.S. When the perp is dead, she's dead, you know. Doesn't make a wit of difference is she was executed for a hate crime or your every day garden variety murder. That is just my bent though.

Carry on...

The current acid attacks are being carried out by a small number of gangs, and these individuas need to be taken off the streets and given very long prison sentences in order that they no longer pose a danger to society - it's as simple as that.

I can't imagine being shot in the face is very enjoyable.

Don't project American racial stereotypes onto England.
Pat Condell has chronicled the UK press doing exactly what I asked many times. Look him up on YouTube.

There's plenty of white hoodlums and thugs in London's underclass.
Your point is? Like in the US, the UK media will mostly gladly point out the race of perps when they are white, even if this includes showing pictures. Its something that they have often shied away from when the perps are not white.

True, but there's just something with the idea of being dissolved a bit by acid. You'd probably live, but be permanently disfigured to the point where people wouldn't even want to look at you. I've known someone who survived a gunshot wound, and you can't even tell now. He lives a normal life, though he went through hell at the time.
