Tony Blair: It Is 'Absolutely Necessary' Brexit Does Not Happen

Quote:
Former Prime Minister Tony Blair has stepped up his war on Brexit, declaring that it is “possible” and “absolutely necessary” that the United Kingdom does not leave the European Union.
Speaking to Sky News four months after Article 50 was triggered and two days after the Great Repeal Bill was published, setting Britain on the path to exiting the EU, Mr. Blair, said: “I think it’s possible now that Brexit doesn’t happen.

Typical liberal. Can't accept the results of an election

That's his country. Seems to me that he'd know better about what's good for his country than any of you.

Hell, you guys don't even know what's good for THIS country!

The people in his country are perfectly capable of making that determination for themselves, and they did. As did we in this country too. Tough tittie toenails to you and him if you can't handle the fact that democracy doesn't always go your way. Maybe a dictatorship is more your style.

In this country, if you lose one ballot initiative, you can do another one and another one and another one - you can do them quite often (depending on state and/or fed)......

The Brits should certainly be able to take another vote. Then they could wait a year and take a third and do best out of three.

Humans (and even mice) have succeeded because they are not rigid...they try one thing, then they try another, then they do in a different direction.

The Brits will do what they do - but I think many of them regret the move. Now that the REAL consequences are starting to add up, they will regret it more. The brits made the first moves to the EU and asked for the same trade deals they had....being a member. The EU told them to get lost.

You can't have the benefits of being a member without being one.

Realistically, the Brits are short on population and resources at this point...trying to be a lone wolf is not going to do them much good.

that's not what he was saying at all. He's someone who prefers the US, and Americans, just mind their own business like every single one of our neighbors do, and I agree. This is the UK's internal matter, and it's none of our business. We should be more concerned with our immediate neighbors than what's happening across the ocean.

the point is that the liberals in the UK are trying to undo a Democratic election, just like in the US
