The ACA Timeline doesn't agree with you. The ACA was passed in March of 2010, Democrats held the House, the Senate and the Presidency. The House flipped to the Republicans in January of 2011 (after win in 2010 elections) and the Senate flipped to the Republicans in January of 2015 (after win in 2014 elections). The Presidency flipped to the Republicans 6 months ago (after win in 2016).

ACA did not even take effect until 2013 - there was no attempt to "improve" the ACA Legislatively by the Democrats at all during any of that time. You are correct about one thing - Nancy Pelosi KNEW (due to a CBO Letter) that the Insurance Bailout was not funded Legislatively in March 2010. We can only assume that Harry Reid and Obama were also informed. They knew in time to put it in the ACA Funding Reconciliation Bill - BUT, they couldn't have passed that bill if they had added all that extra Money.

They gambled and lost when not enough people signed up -- the Republicans didn't block anything, they didn't have that power until January 2017 and their attempts to "repeal/replace" have failed. The ACA can't be "reformed", it's too complicated - Senator Susan Collins is correct about that.

Interesting strategy.

I think that is the most ridiculous strategy ever and ends up with more people suffering...and not all of them liberals.

The idea of politicians and govt. isn't to prove the opposition wrong to say 'I told you so.". The Republicans said they could fix this...then fix it as soon as possible.

What' s happening now is we are seeing that the Republican party can't agree how to fix it and even the fixes being proposed from the divided party do little to reduce your premiums and increase the number of people who can be covered.

This letting Obamacare fail is the only hope of the Republican party calling a win. That's the saddest state of affairs for us voters -- liberal or conservative.

I'm stunned by the emotional, irrational desire just to prove the liberals wrong.

Shaking my head.
Wholeheartedly agree with these ^. My long story short version is: It's the definition of 'reckless' ~ utterly unconcerned about the natural consequences, & equally utterly unconcerned about problem solving, trouble shooting, solution providing, critical thinking strategies, etc.

In short, this administration's modi operandi ~ 'Just Let The United States Of America Implode'. Sad.

By the way, personally Mr. Bannon's clumsy thumb prints are all over this, after all, it's his underlying 'destruction motif' & overall modi operandi.

Give ALL Americans The Same Plan that Congress-people have!!!! Or what ever plan they come up with, applies to all congressional people.

ABSOLUTELY NO Tax cuts for the wealthy... LEAVE MEDICAID ALONE, LEAVE MEDICARE ALONE.....

RESOLVED:
IF ACA is allowed to fail... Suspend All Congressional Health Plan's until they fix the plan for the public and what ever they come up with Applies to All Congressional People.

I can assure you not only will they fix ACA they will mandate all Insurance Companies Participate and they will Invoke RATE CAPS and Full Service PLAN WILL BE OFFERED WITH VERY LOW DEDUCTIBLES WILL BE THE STANDARD.

Quote:
If they let the plan fail.. every person that dies because of lack of medical care... Charge Each Congressperson with One Count of Premeditated 1st Degree Murder.... for every person who dies. Automatic Conviction is Mandated.

(( First degree murder convictions typically draw the harshest sentences of any crime. ))

Summing up "The Republican Party"
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.
Proverbs 16:18

American people better stand up and take back America and Take Back their Voice from these (Republican) Confederate Antebellum Ideologist!!!

Because that doesn't provide tax cuts to the rich or benefit insurance companies, and we know Republicans worship money.

And what do we get from the right? Zip, zilch, zero, nada.
They were too busy looking for a birth certificate.

That would mean republicans accept defeat and they would rather bring down the country than make something Obama did look good.

Incredibly confusing remarks by our President.

Granted, there is no guarentee that the Democrats would have helped had they been included...but that doesn't change the blatant disregard for truth that is Trump's remarks.

"planning that only took place behind closed doors?"

It was OK during the making O Care, NOW you are outraged.

Got it!
