After another failed communist regime, I will call Maduro done within 12 months. Time to take out the bus driver Napoleon... what a joke!

Pure socialism and communism fails every freakin time!

Geebuz - you'd think humanity would learn, wouldn't you?

But, there's always another smooth-talking, slick salesman pitching that crap and the dupes buy it. Too many people looking for a savior and a handout. That's what victimhood does to people.

He still has the backing of the armed forces. Now if there's a coup...

But even with a coup it's going to take years to get Venezuela back on it's feet. Which is a shame because it's such a beautiful country, just right for eco-tourism. But it's so damned corrupt.

There will be a mass exit starting the end of July after Maduro's plan to convene a special assembly that would rewrite the country’s 1999 constitution.

They are already entering in large numbers and destabilizing other S. A. countries. Socialism, the land of nada.

Venezuela where under the "help wanted" sign is says "do not apply".

I called this a while back, you could see the wheels coming off and that with Chavez dead.....Maduro was going to be left holding the bag.

We all saw this coming, just got exacerbated in pace by low global oil prices.

If there's a coup, you can COUNT on the U.S. being involved in it.
Also, if Maduro soon dies in a small plane crash or a lone crazed gunman or WHATEVER, you can count that we hand a hand in that too.
Then pay attention to the puppet that takes his place.
America loves corrupt countries, they're so easy to deal with.

No matter what happens Venezuela will blame the US, but Venezuelans are used to hearing their leaders blame the CIA. However, if there is any real hint of CIA action in VZ, it will blow up in America's face.

Expect targeted economic sanctions, nothing else.

True, but the CIA could pony up enough cash to buy off the top 300 or so officers in exchange for getting rid of Hugo Jr. Not that I want meddling, but that kind of thing is possible.

We should just let the Venezuelan people decide what form of government they want?
