Obama wasn't anti-capitalism. Where don't get that impression?

The capitalists did very well under him.

older people see capitalism as freedom of choice, free markets etc. ( Of course that is bollox, our internal markets are not free at all. but that is another thread)

so when you say kids don't believe in capitalism it is simply not true, they do. But they want to see more control over powerful corps that they correctly see as harming their futures.
Someone gets it!!!

The millennials do not trust the scam we currently call Capitalism. It is not. It is a fraudulent system based on who you know and what you know about the other monopolists and frauds that are in the control of the markets. I believe that most of us would like real market capitalism if it were ever available.

A good example of this is not allowing the Medicare/Medicaid system to negotiate the prices they have to pay to the drug companies. What kind of market is that? A corrupted one backed by our Government is what it is.

These kids were not taught to always believe and have faith in any system. They were taught to look carefully and decide what is actually there and make their own decisions not just believe what they were told. They are well aware of just how much this politics and economy stink of self serving corruption designed to enrich the connected few at their expense.

Fordtrucks,

I heard that socialists eat babies, spit on the American flag, and urinate on pictures of Jesus.

You are right to be afraid of the socialist liberals.

Perhaps they've seen their parents trade places in the unemployment line. Perhaps they understand why their parents can't get ahead on two salaries when they are both employed at the same time. Perhaps they understand that trickle down only works when someone actually takes the money from the rich. Perhaps they know why their parents couldn't help them with tuition even though they live modestly.

You start a thread thinking that you are telling us something that we don't know or understand already.

Perhaps a person who associates so closely with Trump should realize that Trump's closeness with the Russians might make him a commie lover.

Not true.

I believe in capitalism.

The reason others don't, they were taught to think based on how they feel. Feelings are all that matters. Throw logic to the wayside. That and living in the here and now and not thinking ahead how will this decision affect me 5 minutes 5 hours 5 days 5 months 5 years 5 decades down the road. Instant gratification, and throw away. Don't fix it. Get new. Whether it's a car, a house, a phone, laptop, appliance, relationship, anything that requires effort patience and work.

Im not even discussing moral fiber really. Im discussing that both systems have flaws that eventually will destroy them. We need to stop thinking one "ism" is the best. We need to look at what works the best instead.

Interesting. I didn't inherit astronomical tuition debt. Worked years before going to college. Paid for it all up front in cash. Sold a few toys to do it. But I did. And others couldn't Why is that?

Blame Obama for dislike for capitalism Sounds like the "blame Obama" line is the cure for all ills.
