He is his own attorney. They are denying him his Constitutional right to defend himself. The Judge appoint someone to speak for him, because he has made her look like a fool so far and she refuses to listen to him.
He has already caught them 6 times in testimony lying. Cliven Bundy is outsmarting the intellectuals, using a simple document. The Constitution. The Judge doesn't like it one bit. She is denying the Constitution exists in this trial.

I know! Crazy, isn't it?
Afraid so. My family has been here before this was a country. We've fought the British, the French, the British again, Indians, Southerners, Germans (twice), North Koreans and North Vietnamese. We've built bridges, ships, factories and roads. We've educated children, provided medical care, and farmed food since Boston was a muddy crossroads.
So no, I don't need a lesson on civics from anyone with such a fundamental misunderstanding of the founding documents and their intent and purpose.

I am actually in the video still shots on the OP.
I'm clueless? Okay. Whatever you say. Let him go ahead and annex any property he wants without paying. Wheee! Go Cliven! Maybe he'd like a nice hunting blind in Yellowstone Park as well.

The Bundys are domestic terrorists that threatened to kill cops on more than one occasion. They should all be in prison for the rest of their lives. If they were a black family and did the same stuff, they would already be taking very long dirt naps and we all know it.

Gun toting fools need to experience the harshest penalties in order that they finally get the point that "we" the people don't respect their stupidity any more than we respect the stupidity of government at times.

The difference between the Bundy's and others who protest comes down to the use of firearms--period..In the Nevada standoff law enforcement demonstrated the principle of restraint, the Russians would have killed the bunch of them in a heartbeat, but, we are Americans, and, luckily for the Bundy's, we don't condone that kind of justice. We speak of loyalty to our nation but, we have a growing number of folks who would dismantle all government if it meant more money in their pocket. Make no mistake about the Bundy's motives---it's all about the mon-nnneeee...
The only reason the government exercised restraint was because of the ghosts of Waco and Ruby Ridge. Incidents that were cheers by leftist nuts who want more government power. Under the Patriot Act the feds could have killed everyone at Bunkerville but the fallout would have been tremendous.

To understand the dislike of the BLM and DoI here in NV you kinda have to have lived it. The feds have been sh****** on ranchers here pretty hard. It just doesn't make headlines. You're correct in one aspect. It's all about money. Snapping up water and mineral rights, usage rights, brokering deals with foreign interests, all orchestrated to line the pockets of guys like Harry Reid. A lot of folks here in NV see the Bundy's as having stood up against all that. And a lot of people also feel that if all those armed people hadn't showed up the feds would have left bodies on the ground without a second thought.

There's definitely two sides to this story. The common media narrative and leftist slant on this is "gun toting g nut jobs breaking the and defying government authority." But another take sees that government authority as trampling people's rights under the guise of "law." And that corrupt government agencies are willing to use guns of their own to get "cooperation." Depends on who's looking at things and what side of the feds they land on.

Ranchers who live near the Bundy's do not support their illegal activities nor their "ranching" practices.

They take terrible care of their livestock. Skinny, underfed critters wandering around government land without vaccinations.

Agree - it's high time to make an example of all these folks who oppose the federal government's laws and believe the laws don't apply to them. Don't like the laws, work to change the law. Occupying government owned property with arms is blatant terrorism. No sympathy or much less admiration for folks like this. The Wild West is over.

I come to the conclusion, they are political prisoners. Nothing else.
The Judge does not allow the Constitution to weigh on anything in the trial so far.
The government has been caught lying 6 times during testimony.
Murderers, have not been held without bond and the Bundy's are. They are being treated as guilty, before being proven innocent.
Lock em up
Lock em up.....

Bottom line - the reason we have a civil society is because people DON'T just decide on a whim to have armed takeovers of ANYTHING, let alone public lands or buildings.

I don't care if the gubment lies 1,000 times.
If the Bundys and their friends can do what they did, they - heck - millions of us should go out with guns and take over the parks and lands of our desires.

Uh- Mr. Mueller is the Special Attorney who's working on the Russian affair.

The Malheur County Federal Bird Refuge was what Ammon Bundy and his merry band of misfit toys occupied.

Know the difference. It's very hard to keep up with you when you get it all scrambled up like this.

And the Malheur Bird Refuge occupation has nothing at all to do with the present trials anyway. They were separate incidents, and nothing from Oregon is being used in the present trials.
