That is a minority of the medical community. The majority considers it dysphoria now, not a disorder anymore. And I'm sick of the common sense argument. Common sense caused Galileo to be wrongly persecuted.....
Sorry your sick but it is just a matter of common sense, you are born physically a male or female, if you think you are other than what you were born then you are confused. Of course doctors encourage such ignorant behavior, it makes them money.

No it isn't. There is no cure for Gender Dysphoria, and sex reassignment surgery is a better treatment of the symptoms than repression therapy, which doesn't work

Um, no. It is about the hippocratic oath, especially "cause the least harm". There is no cure for Gender Dysphoria, and repression therapy doesn't work. So hormone therapy and sex reassignment surgery are the treatment that causes the least harm to the patient.
Maybe one day, a cure will be developed. But until then.....
I hated the locker room and common showers myself...and I am as straight as they come. Maybe they can create a document for me.
In Jr. High the tendency was for the guy(s) who developed the earliest and "biggest" to hang out buck naked at all times while the rest of us only shed trou for the moments we had to.

Smoking pot and doing other rec drugs is/was a disorder punishable by jail time, felony convictions..and sometimes even removal of your voting rights.
You do know that tens of millions of Americans thought it was against God's will and nature for black and white folks to mate, right? It took the SCOTUS to fix that one...relatively recently in history.
I agree that one is born male or female. My personal opinion is that those who screw around with hormones, surgery and the like are taking big chances with their health and life. Such is nearly always the case (Joan Rivers, etc.).....
As far as bathrooms I have the perfect solutions. A large bank of private stalls with decent doors and a small indicator (light) on the outside telling whether it is empty. I mean...I like people and all, but squeezing up next to them in a urinal or semi-open stall is not my idea of fun either.
That's utter bs. Kids don't even know what transgender is unless an adult fills their head with that. Instead of allowing the kid to just be, they insist that the kid is trans. A fricken 5 year old doesn't even know who he is, nor does an 11 year old.
And yes, parents DO push the agenda on to their kid. There's no asking, it's total "power of suggestion".
"You like acting like a boy, riiiiiiiight?"
I played with boys toys when I was a kid. I had 2 brothers. They sometimes, rarely, but sometimes played with me and my girl toys. I liked to climb the ropes and do adventurous things when I was a kid. Back then you would have called me a "tomboy", (not really but that's what they would have said), whereas today, some assclown would sit me down and try to convince me that I actually wanted to be a boy.
I also pretended I had glasses and braces because my brothers had those and I was young and thought they were "cool" things to have. Doesn't mean having braces and glasses is cool, or fun, or neat, nor something I, nor anyone else, actually wants to have, permanently.
I direct you to this video only because the full video without a reaction to it was taken down. Lots of backlash from people who recognize that the parents are harming their child here:
THAT is the problem. It's harming children. They are in for a life of problems, and no matter how "normal" the left tries to make this, it's not normal. It's a very, very small percentage of the population that is legit this way and it's a mental illness. It should not be celebrated as "normal".
This is like people embracing schizophrenia or bi-polar disorder or manic depressives. "Hooray, let's all be bi-polar! You have mood swings, right Nancy? That makes you sort of bi-polar, right? Yeah, it does. Here's to a totally f-ed up life because mommy/daddy couldn't just let you be and grow, realizing that as a little kid, you can want to be a fairy princess one day and a war general the next regardless of what gender you are because YOU'RE A FRICKEN KID AND THAT'S WHAT KIDS DO!"
So it's a problem to let kids be themselves. Got it.
A simple document put forth by the state of Minnesota has you wrapped this tight, OP? Goodness, go have a glass of wine and relax. On Monday, think about expressing your opinion to the MN State School Board rather than trying to stir up trouble on the P&OC board.

What? Really?
"A simple document"
No it's not just a document.
It is something schools will put forth, injected into the students.
