Politico is fake news.

C-D opinions are real news and the CBO has never been wrong about anything.

CBO scores can be manipulated, like polls. Obamacare was supposed to be a raging success according to CBO. We saw how well that turned out.

As for the hysterical Dems and their media masters, "Everyone will die!" Millions of people without insurance will be the ones who never wanted it in the first place so they paid the penalty instead. It's called 'choice.' Only a little over nine million chose Obamacare. Not many people know it was so few. And most of them have a health insurance card but no health insurance because there are no insurance companies in their area and/or doctors won't take that insurance. So they would be better off paying the penalty and then stashing money in a savings account for emergencies. Many docs will lower their prices when you pay cash.

Here is a quick summary of the Senate bill. Trump explains it to the Senators he was having lunch with in an effort to convince them to pass the bill.
Video.

Cbo says that if you don't force people to buy insurance they wouldn't have insurance.

The numbers are way off. Many people who have insurance would still have insurance. The people who don't have insurance now won't have insurance in the future. All the new health bills do is codify the exceptions Obama signed via executive order

Um, how many among that number were uninsured BEFORE Obamacare and are only insured now cuz they'd rather not pay a fine? Also, among that number, how many of them are illegal aliens? Also, among that number, how many couldn't afford it before Obamacare and STILL cannot afford it even with Obamacare?

No, CBO says if you don't force people to buy insurance then many healthy people won't and the rates will rise for those who need it to the point where they can't afford it and will have to give it up. I disagree to some extent as the penalties for not having insurance were not even a relative slap on the hand and people who did not want it, did not buy it. I think that the mandate could be removed and Obamacare improved if subsidies for younger people were increased. The GOP plan kind of does this by raising the differential for older people from 3 to 5 times what younger ones pay. Costs for younger people do go down in the CBO analysis. That is a mean way of doing it though.
