Obama was lucky in a few ways over the years - such as benefiting from a weak opponent like John McCain.
Obama now is benefitting (sadly) by the horribly stark contrast between his calm, well-spoken, knowledgeable, prudent manner - in comparison with Trump's ignorant, inarticulate, bullying, lying, money-grubbing, unethical presidency.
You know, I just watched a clip of Pres. Obama responding to someone representing Wall Street, who put forth some silly question about how Wall Street felt persecuted and Pres. Obama went on to remind him that the top 25 hedge fund managers had an average salary the previous year of one billion dollars. He gave a very reasoned and thoughtful answer on why Wall Street and Main Street needed to work together for the betterment of our country. That type of reasoned, thoughtful answer to a financial question will never come from Trump, and it surely would not have come from President Bush before them.
So every day people realize more and more just how great a job President Obama has done while having to listen to the whiny, rambling, and generally untrue statements coming from the mouth of our current President.
Yes, Pres. Obama, thinking people miss having you as President.
Oh yeah, his legacy is growing, right along with the 10 trillion $$ he added to the national debt.

Good thing that legacy thing kicked in because his actual body of work was a dismal failure. Still in never ending wars in the Middle East and the economy is worse off than before the crash. But other than that.....
