I think I might just grow more salsa (tomatoes, peppers, onions) this year instead of flowers. Might do me some good to spend more time at home anyway.

We have 2 cars going to the beach about 100 miles each way every weekend. My wife drives out with the kids on thursday mornings, and I meet them out there friday night after work. We both drive back on sunday. So at 400 miles per week, I am not going to like paying that much for gas, but it is what it is.

And the family time is priceless.

It takes some strategizing too because gas is always 50 or 60 cents MORE per gallon in our beach town than it is in our hometown. If I dont leave for the weekend with a completely full tank, I run the risk of having to buy gas out there.

I have already stopped recreational driving and I plan my shopping/business so I can do it in one trip. If the prices get too high I may have to build a wagon and drive my horses into town. I will be planting a large garden, raising rabbits and getting some chickens to offset the increase in grocery prices. If things get too bad those dogs and cats better watch out!

No vacation changes planned. The only change might be what the last poster claimed about lower recreational driving, but with two small children, we can't do much recreational driving in the first place.

Yeah, the gas price increases stink, but life has to go on.

I plan to buy a dairy cow , some milk goats, more chickens, plant corn and build a greenhouse to increase our growing season. Shop more at walmart and hopefully the price of Excursions will finally come down, so I can get a new one for the wife! Lastly, pray that this will finally wake people up , so that they come to their senses and say ENOUGH!!

No changes here. We do not drive when we travel, we fly and ticket prices vary so much anyeay.

I traded in my guzzling SUV for a sweet sporty car a year ago, so I'm not hurting as bad anymore. Plus my daughter says I look pretty cool now while I'm saving gas $

I think I better buy my airline ticket to Europe asap, before the fares go up. Other than that, will only do as much driving as absolutely necessary, maybe one or two small trips (less than 2 hour drive each way). Food prices are way up here, I just came from the grocery store and it seems like the prices are up almost every week. Guess I'll be looking into cooking with legumes, lol. And we also joined a CSA and will get weekly delivery of fresh organic produce starting in late May.
