That statement is at odds with what the U.S. intelligence agencies have been saying. It's also at odds with what Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said on record. President Donald Trump has even admitted that the Russians meddled in the 2016 US presidential election, before he reversed himself and said that they didn't. Donald Trump, Jr. released an email where he stated that he was seeking compromising information on Hillary Clinton from dubious Russian sources for use in the election.

Now the U.S. Congress is firming up sanctions against Russia because - Russian meddled in the US Presidential Election.

At what point do you realize that you're simply wrong about claiming that Russia didn't interfere in U.S. elections?

Can we really call this Russia stuff for what it is?

Russia hacked the DNC... not the election.
That's not exactly the whole story. They hacked both campaigns and then decided which information they would leak, based on their own self interest.

Congressional leaders impose sweeping sanction against Russia for meddling in US Elections

Hacking was only one of the things they did, and they didn't just hack the DNC.

The DNC was hacked. The information from that hack was spread around. That's not specifically hacking the election.

The election took place on Nov. 8th. I am not aware of any activity directly involving votes, voting machines, election facilities, etc. Am I missing something?

I guess I am trying to be accurate.

Russia hacked the DNC, and the resulting information leak may have affected the election.

That is different from...

Russia hacked the election.

But dang - we do that...

Well - they attempted to hack the RNC, but were denied. That is not hacking the election. It is meddling.

You all must be living in an alternative reality if you can not distinguish between typical spying activities and foreign adversaries completely corrupting our political system as though we were Paraguay or a pawn to be trifled with.

Conservatives who don't care abut this Russia meddling are no better than losers who have given up and assumed a fetal position when it comes to Putin.

Mueller's investigation will soon reveal the extent of Russian interference in our election as well as the corruption of those political leaders who were either heavily in debt to them or conspired with them.

Corruption in my sense also includes a foreign adversary playing us for fools.

Imagine the twitter storm that would follow if Trump vetoed the bill and congress overrides it.
