Both Democratic and Republican Congressional leaders have reached an agreement to impose sweepin sanctions on the Russians.

The only people who don't think Russia meddled in the US Election are Trumpers on this Board.

Trump may veto these sanctions. It would be outrageous if he does.

Congress Reaches deal on Russian sanctions

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/22/u...=top-news&_r=0

Quote:
The new legislation sharply limits the president’s ability to suspend or terminate the sanctions. At a moment when investigations into the Trump campaign’s interactions with Russian officials have cast a shadow over his presidency, Mr. Trump could soon face a bleak decision: veto the bill — and fuel accusations that he is doing the bidding of President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia — or sign legislation imposing sanctions his administration abhors.

They can override trumps veto if they have the support within Congress. I hope they slap Russia, Hard.

To quote a rather prolific poster on C-D: WoW!!!!

House Republicans putting a leash on Donald Trump's attempts to kow-tow to Vladimir Putin and Russia means that those Republicans are no longer afraid of what Trump might do to them in the next election.

President Trump's future just got a little bit bleaker.

Is this a big deal because of Trump - or do people REALLY care that Russia hacked the election - which they didn't. No vote was influenced. To me - hacking the election is allowing a bunch of illegals who are not allowed to vote, the ability to vote in the election. That is a direct hack of the election.

Can we really call this Russia stuff for what it is?

Russia hacked the DNC... not the election.

Proof that it happened, here is the video of the President telling the Russian ambassador he will have more flexibility after the election.

No one would have voted for Trump if Putin hadn't told them to.

Russia has been using its telepathicor on us for a while now.

Only people who are still in Middle School....or are dead from the neck up....don't know that Russians have attempted to meddle in our affairs (& elections) for the past 65 years.

(Oh.....& that the US has also meddled in Russia's affairs for the same time period).

You guys are unbelievable. Next you're going to tell us that Politicians always told the truth before 2016.

Don't we have some Infrastructure work or a little thing called a Healthcare/Health insurance issue that could use some Bi-Partisan congressional "agreements"? You know....things that could actually help Americans?

Instead the Beta males in Congress & on the Media whine on about Putin.....as if he has even the slightest effect on my reality or on my day. What a bunch ignorant deflecting p*ssys.
