Because there sure aren't that many Muslim immigrants in our prison system and we don't have ONE culture here.
As long as immigrants move here and follow the law of the land, I have no issue with whatever culture they choose to keep or assimilate. That's their own, personal business.
In a democracy, the law of the land is ultimately a matter for the people to decide. Change the people and the law will eventually follow.
Allowing any group into the USA, who do not share, or are even in opposition to our cultural values, is counter to the purpose of our immigration system.

And just WHERE are these so-called "cultural values" defined and by WHOM?
While I don't believe it will happen in the next 50 years, I do believe an Islamic takeover will eventually occur. Anyone who easily dismisses the concept does not truly understand the ultimate goal of fundamentalist Islam.

That is NOT the majority of Muslim immigrants.
So, could it happen in the distant future? Maybe. But, that's a long way off and much could change between now and then. Progressive Muslims might wipe out the fundies. You really never know.
