There are people who voted to get rid of Obamacare, not understanding that it was the same thing as the Affordable Care Act. There are many who have been writing their Congressmen and Senators telling them that they don't want the ACA repealed, especially given that the GOP has failed to introduce a bill that won't cause more harm than good.

If the GOP comes up with something better, then by all means, vote it in. But they've yet to do that, and until they do, people are going to be protesting repeal.

In this case, I don't think they need a majority, at some point the GOP is going to be done playing Trump's games and that time may be now.

Session is on the way out. He was not as aggressive as Trump thought he would be.
Rudy has a hard-on for Hillary.
I have written to Trump to back Sessions. Sessions has demonstrated that he is on board when it comes to immigration and a hard line on crime. I hope that Trump backs off and throws Sessions an olive leaf. I would hate to start this process all over again. There is also no guarantee the Rudy would not lock horns with Trump.

In the meantime I am glad, from current news, that Trump backed away for Christie.

That is not what the counter culture is trending. Or have you not noticed.

The democrats have no policy to advertise. All they have is, we hate Donald Trump. How has that worked?

It isn't that Sessions isn't doing his job, it's that he isn't telling his department to back off the Trump organization and look the other way. Corruption in full view.

"The people's agenda"?? Sounds like something straight from North Korea.

Which people? What people? How many of "the people"? Not me, nope, and I'm as American as they come, with very deep family roots in this place (back to 1647) and patriotism showing up in all the generations since (evidenced by involvement with the military, education, government, and so on). The family motto is service.

So tell us, what's this about a "people's agenda"? I don't want a wall - waste of money, bigly. Illegal immigration needs to be dealt with more intelligently - use a fine-edged sword, not a bludgeon. The military already gets and wastes more than its share, require better accounting for spending first. Improve Obamacare, don't dump it and leave millions of "the people" uninsured.

In addition, throw out all the unqualified for government service big businessmen and bankers from the restocked Swamp. Get rid of corruption in all levels of government - start at the top. Protect our natural resources - don't sell them to the highest bidder and pocket some of the profit. Be honest. Be intelligent. Be thoughtful.

Be a true patriot, love this country and do what is right for her and her people and the people of the world. Cherish our allies and treat them with respect. Be cordial to those who are not our allies, but check 'em out thoroughly and don't trust them. Hope for the best, prepare for all possibilities.

Help the economy, sure. Improve education and job training. Work on infrastructure but insist on sealed, anonymous bids by contractors - no more $$$ into cronies' pockets. Preserve, protect, defend - and improve. Aided by a free and independent and unthreatened press.

That's what this person, one of The People, wants to see in Washington and throughout our land. Little if any of it is likely to happen under the current administration, so if others want what I want, it's time to join together and work for change.
