2 weeks ago, Trump agreed to increase the allotment of H2B visas by 15,000/year. This means 15,000 more people from other countries moving to the US to take jobs from Americans. Those 15,000 are also allowed to bring their spouse and children. Most of the spouses will eventually work in the US. Most likely will extend their visas, then apply for green cards and never leave the US. Their kids will eventually work in the US too as they become adults in the US.

No he didn't. He specifically said it was an editorial - twice - in the OP, which by definition is an opinion.

Do try to keep up.

The tourism industry in Alaska is staffed with those on visas who are known for engagement rings in August.

I disagree. The GOP down ballot already had pretty good prospects no matter whom they ran at the top this past election. Trumps 'coattails' were not that strong.

The Trump faction is by and large not populated with true traditional Republicans. This split personality within the party will need to be resolved one way or another going forward.

It is clear that a lot of longtime Republicans, confronted by two poor choices for president, voted with their party and held their noses as they voted for Trump. Had they not done this Trump would have lost, his own core is not big enough to win and had he run as an independent Trump (and likely the Republican candidate as well) would have gone down in flames. He really needed the traditional Republicans with him in every district to get over the top. I will not argue that the traditional Republicans are the majority any more in many districts, but they were a crucial element in Trump's success in the election and they do not get enough recognition for that. Traditional Republicans are increasingly dismayed by Trump, which is why so many are identifying as independents now.

Lightbulb GOP Support for Trump Starting to Crack

Not so much.

Pubs are followers, not leaders.

They'll remain in step behind tRump until the public outrage reaches the flash point.

A crack in the dam? Politics is local, of course, but there was a state election in NH yesterday in which the underdog Dem upset the favored Rep on the back of a relatively huge turnout. It is the first time the Dems have won a special state election since 1984. The winner, by the way, is a union activist.

Senate votes to impose new sanctions on Russia and Iran - POLITICO

This is the biggest no confidence vote against Trump that is bipartisan and overwhelming. This is a big go sit in the corner and be marginalized Trump. Kudos! I think it speaks volumes about who's side they think Trump is on. Trump is morally bankrupt, sketchy, and only has his best interest and his families at heart. I wonder how the cult will spin this one?

MAGA. Kudos Republicans and Democrats.

They were always in bed with the Democrats! These politicians that spent how many times what the job pays to get the job? You have the very rich on both sides of the isle and they are not working for us. If they were; they would throw out all the lobbyist, be satisfied with the salary we pay them, and be content to make our lives better.

As far as complaining about Republicans and the division in the Parties; Trump has invited the Democrats on come on board - why haven't they made proposals. We see the problems with Obamacare and nobody on the left is stepping forward with reasonable propositions to forge ahead. The only "crazy ones" I see are the ones that fail to do the job we are paying them to do - working for us!

As far as how many visas or how many should be left in: So far illegal immigration is down. I have yet to see his plans of visa overstays; but I am sure that his administration will do better the Hillary's.

I agree 100%.

An action like this need not have been taken if the congress could count on the president doing the right thing. The whole world knows how to read this: as a rebuke of the president, an indication of a lack of trust in his judgment.
