I would venture to guess that one should take anything The Daily Caller prints with a grain of salt and much more needed research.
Deflection seems to be an ongoing mantra of Trump supporters for the look over there president. If there is a grain of truth to this then it needs to be explored. MSM is only interested in sensational big headlines, and Trump is really good for business.
But what is being hid, in my opinion, has more to do with Bernie Sanders as the victim.
This post is not about the story itself, there is another thread on that, but is yet another example of media bias in covering stories. It was barely mentioned when the Capitol police were involved but now the FBI is involved and nothing from the big shot news media? How come? Smashed computer hard drives, the FBI, a big shot Democrat and the MSM doesn't think it's worthy of coverage? Check Google News search on DWS - nothing from the MSM. Back in March, Politico did a story but the FBI wasn't involved then and the story has advanced since then.
This is a snippet from the original complete story of it, also by The Daily Caller:
"Wasserman Schultz has demanded return of a laptop seized by the Capitol Police because it was purportedly used by Imran and was found hidden in a vacant office. The Florida Democrat used a Capitol Police budget hearing to threaten “consequences” for them if the laptop wasn’t returned. On Thursday it was reported that police have not examined its contents because of the invocation of the Constitution’s “Speech and Debate clause,” and after months of refusal, her lawyer is now “negotiating” access to the data on yet-to-be-determined terms."
Except the story isn't about "the dems", it's about the Pakistani IT specialists and Schultz requesting the hard drives back.
The Chicago Tribune carried an article back in May yet here is a thread now, none of the main papers carried this story, WSJ, NY Times or WP. Yet here we have 5 threads in CD for this breaking story. This has low value as news but when your desperate. LOL
Where has everyone been for the last 2 months, even Fox News missed this one.
Nah, couldn't be, since 'nobody in the MSM' is reporting on it.
You will notice that the original post in this story was made at 8:09A and the Politico article was posted on their website at 10:18P that night. Maybe people started to demand it from Politico since Politico was in at the beginning.
The story has advanced since the FBI got involved. The second link in the original post gives a good rundown of what went on.

All you have to do is pick up a story with Wasserman Schultz or Susan Rice and it's important because....
Nothing has changed since May, this just repeats the same story and I don't see anything in your second link other than the FBI which has been involved for some time.
This is the exact kind of story the Democrats and the Drive-By Media would want to ignore. Because exactly what they’re claiming happened with Trump and Russia. It actually did happen with the Democrats! Their server was hacked; they wouldn’t turn the servers and any of the network equipment over to the FBI for forensic analysis. Instead, the IT aid to Debbie “Blabbermouth” Schultz and three of his family members were working on IT for a number of Democrats in the House, and the FBI has seized computer hard drives from this guy.
No fan of DWS but this seems to be a case where these IT guys were stealing from the Democrats they were working for and got caught. Comparing this to the Russia investigation is ridiculous.
Because these guys are Muslims who supported terrorists (Hezbollah) but were allowed access to House and congressional info, they are deeply corrupt and have avoided prosecution or exposure by the liberal MSM for years and now claiming it's racism-- they are typical democrats!!
