Personally, I'm disdainful of Sessions, so it's not as if I'm sticking up for him generally. But I'm sure he has some friends in the Senate, and I imagine they don't take kindly to the way Trump is treating him.

Trump really has a capacity to attack and alienate people that seems unmatched in the presidency - possibly in all of politics. Hm...maybe on a par with McCarthy?

I don't believe Trump is capable of seeing the overall big picture. Instead, he just thinks in terms of 'immediate gains'. A lot of people may not like Sessions or what he stands for, but I think too many people see what Trump's trying to pull in getting rid of him (a path to finding somebody who will fire Mueller for him.)

Hell, even Rush Limbaugh is telling Trump to leave Sessions alone.

Do you think Trump should have kept in mind that Sessions was a senator?
I think Sessions should have known he was dealing with a psycho.

Trump demands loyalty, but has never and will never give it back. He will throw anyone under the bus, including his own family.

Personally I don't feel sorry for anyone who works for him - they should know what kind of a$$ he is. His base and future appointees included. When Sessions was appointed my local radio station was in full praise of him. Today they were sayin Sessions deserves to go as he's no good Then the topic of scout boys came. After a while radio guy started going after scout boys complaining only rich can manage to engage in these activities I have never seen this level of dumbness before in my life. For example in a thread a Trumpee is claiming that Ivanka will have no issue in 2024 just because Scout boys were clapping for Trump

I find it disturbing that Sessions is the focus right now (of Trump's whining and complaining and bullying). Sessions recused himself how many months ago? What triggered Trump now?

Pretty much this.

If Sessions goes, it's going to start a whole new level of s***tshow.

Because that's what sociopaths do.

I knew he'd go after the Republicans in congress if he didn't get his way. But the Sessions attack takes the cake because he hand picked his cabinet members. This will reduce his approval numbers a bit more. Tillerson is likely to resign per news reports saying that Tillerson is disgusted with the Sessions attacks too. He's probably already working on the exit plan right now.

Lie down with dogs and you get fleas. The general sleaze that seems to come out of the woodwork to be around Trump is pretty unsettling, ie Guiliani, Flynn, Sessions and Christy. It takes years to make a reputable name. Why ruin it with Trump?
