Watch, it isn't over.

As far as the NBA goes. It's in the NBA rule book that players stand for the National Anthem. If they don't then they will have to pay the consequences. But make no mistake about it the NBA is all about corporate money and luxury boxes at the arenas. The big money spenders aren't going to put up with the players crap either. The players are just that players. Nothing more nothing less. They sold their souls long ago.
They will protest.

I have heard other ideas from various groups like BLM, but I'd like to know what the players want because some of the ideas I've heard from others are unworkable.

But I agree the other protests probably did work to get certain cities to investigate abuses. And that's fine with me, but I don't think it's because of the NFL protests.
You can think whatever you want.

Default Go bag groceries instead. R. Matthews says he will retire if NFL forces players to stand

Go ahead, I dare you to retire, give up your millions of dollars and your fame, because the NFL tells you that you need to stand for the anthem. You spoiled, whiny, entitled, dope. Your next stop will be bagging groceries.

Really? You dare a person to quit their job that has no impact on you?

What makes you think that he`s unqualified to do anything but play football and bag groceries?

I don't know who the player is but I'll bet if he's married, his wife will pitch a fit.

You don't seem to understand satire....

But the odds are, he will take a very steep pay cut if he follows through on his foolish statement

No doubt, but I respect his foolish choice if he quits.
