When they kneel or sit on the field as performers, during a time when Americans traditionally stand up for the National Anthem, "turning their backs on the 13 stripes and 50 stars" and the nation it stands for, is EXACTLY what these prima donna players are doing.

The NFL, an organization that generated some 12 billion in revenue for 2016 presents itself as caring greatly about military veterans donates very little of the revenue they generate to veterans who need it most. Instead they take handouts from the govt. to put on their pretentious and tacky displays of hypocrisy.

How does an organization that generates billions and billions of dollars per year and uses patriotism as a key component of its business model not even have the decency to commit to donating a fraction of their revenue, say 2% to veterans who need it most and are suffering from PTSD, loss of limbs, brain function, families being shattered etc etc?

In fact they were forced to return some of the money that took from the govt in 2015 as many of you might know.
A greedy and pretentious insult to veterans yet many of them still somehow support it. Crazy.

What bothers me most is the disregard the players have for other Americans. When fans attend football they are not there for protesting and being made aware of social issues. Do Americans really need to be made aware of breast cancer? are we that dumb downed?

We are aware there is racism, that there are justified and un justified police shootings, and we know who BLM is, so is it wrong to want to attend or watch football with out these silly protest or to be made aware of some Issue? I say no, fans tune in to see football and when the games on they do not give a dam about those issues.

If the media would stop covering it so much, it wouldn't be as big of a deal. Then the protestors want to make themselves think and be perceived as heros and they get their camera time.
If you will stop supporting the sport, it will get stopped.

What bothers me about it is that I have no idea what they are protesting about. Is it a law or something?

What kind of broken logic is this. If there's nothing to challenge there's nothing to challenge, if there is there is. Compliance changes nothing except increase safety for you and the officer.

So basically in your world you need attempted suicide by cop to make your point?

They have no idea what they're protesting either. Mostly unhappy with cops asking questions and would rather there be no policing

Hey here's a thought, instead of blaming all your problems on racism and the system, how about trying instead to get an advanced degree or starting a business, working hard and earning your "privilege" instead of expecting things to be handed to you
