To the person who asked, Alt Right is a term David Brock's Media Matters smear campaigners promoted. I happen to be reading that chapter now, "David Brock's Smear Frontier" from the excellent book The Smear by Sharyl Attkisson. Many of his astroturfers (paid posters) post here so I expect to be slammed for revealing this secret. Ooops!
Unpopular concepts are reinvented, renamed by left-leaning interests, and then pushed by Brock entities to the public. Americans aren't buying global warming? Call it climate change. The term liberal scores negatively? Change it to progressive. Need to alter the way people think about illegal immigrants? Smear those who use the phrase as racist or white nationalists.
If you want to know what is really going on and who is paying for it, read that book. I got mine at the library. An indispensable reference book.
The thing I get a laugh out of is that even when the investigation into Hillary was finished and nothing was really found except negligence (a common problem in both parties at that level), the right-wing loons kept pretending she was still guilty of some crazy, made-up crimes and her getting off the hook was "part of the liberal conspiracy."
Meanwhile, the Orange King is in far deeper with blatantly obvious evidence of everything ranging from gross negligence to a level that makes Hillary look like a saint to outright collusion bordering on treason, and the right-wing loons pretend all is fine, Trump's innocent and wonderful, and - again - all the facts are part of a "liberal conspiracy."
I'm not sure if they honestly think nobody sees through their laughable, partisan nonsense and double-standards, or if they are just so gullible and hate-filled that they actually believe the drivel they are spewing, but either way, their behavior is sad commentary on the state of our nation.
As for Trump, even if he were handing out secrets in full view of the press to Putin on the White House lawn, nothing will be done about it because Republican cowards control the government. Right-wing loons will naturally take that cowardice as "proof of Trump's innocence," even as they stupidly believe him when he mouths against his political rivals (Hillary, etc.) and accuses them of insane things... because Trump is *such* an honest source of information, lol... right.

Trump himself said it and "trusted" reporters like Sean Hannity have convinced people that it's a big nothing burger. That's all the evidence most people need.
This is not the first time this news has been flogged about. I suspect it won't be the last.

POTUS may think he got rid of the Russia Issue. Its still there just under the surface. POTUS is afraid and is finding out he has little support. Manafort Rolled this week and it will be interesting to watch.
He no longer has those non-disclosure contracts on his employees.
