They're about 50% Socialist and 50% Capitalist (as per their taxes and GDP). We're about 20% Socialist and 80% capitalist in comparison. What's ideal?????....I say maybe 30% Socialist but anywhere in that 20-50% range would be acceptable as long as you control corruption.

These people who call for Democratic Socialism, the Scandinavian Model, would be irate once they figured out that even the poor have to pay high taxes in those countries. Also, between all of those countries combined only have about 25% the population that we have. It's much easier for smaller countries to run the way they do.

Also, they spend nothing on their military because the US and NATO protect them. Isn't that convenient?

Take away our monetary and military help and they'd be screwed and ripe for invasion.

Yeah, we could easily take over those countries as could Russia. I think the Nordic model is fine for them, I just don't think it would work as well here. Norway and Denmark have a large income from oil and Sweden is living off of what their capitalists established long ago. We have far different culture and demographics and I think our results would be closer to Venezuela if we go headstrong to Socialism.

Yes, and I remember when he was one of only two Senators to vote against the Russian sanctions bill.

It's almost like Venezuela and Russia have something in common that Sanders admires.
