All rational people hope that President Trump succeeds during his term as President.

Rational people. Unlike, say, some in this old thread:

How about everybody just take a goddamn chill pill and go about their day like any other day, because life is still chugging along for everybody here whether you're a screeching liberal or a shouting conservative.

People have already wasted way too much time and energy fighting over this crap. Meanwhile, the sun still rises and sets, children grow, and we all could stand to start enjoying life a little more once again. Nobody is stopping anybody from doing that.

A grand total of 21 people voted on this over the course of a week. People simply won't participate in these slanted false choice polls. What's the purpose?

With you on this one. I think we all know everything we need to know about Trump and the current situation. We've reached some opinion or stance and it is unlikely that it is going to change any time soon. Time to move on with life. Wait for the outcome of the Mueller investigation and go from there.

Of course I want him to succeed. That means America will succeed. Whether you like him or his policies or not, I would hope we would all agree that we would want things to be better for the people of this country. Let the Mueller investigations take place, let them find something or not find something so we can move on.

What a stupid poll.

The choices are not mutually exclusive, but you know that and are just looking for reasons to push a whacked narrative.

Well, I hope you know that.

Your poll is rigged. Trump is not America. I want to see Trump fail so America can succeed.

Are we clear, now...?

Unfortunately, "hope" is the operative word here; for just as unfortunately "hope" does not mean "assured".

Will Trump succeed? I say I hope he succeeds in turning this country around, but I seriously doubt he will. In fact, I think just the opposite - he's much more likely to speed up America's decline than reverse it.

To me, America's success can only be measured by the well-being of all the people.

It has never been perfect, but compared to the rest of the world it has been pretty good for a long time.

I see some frightening trends these days. It looks for all the world like the gap between the rich and poor is growing rapidly, and opportunities for average folks to better themselves are disappearing.

Everything is for sale and private interests come before community.

It looks like we are also setting up a permanent caste system: permanent underclasses and permanent over classes, everyone's potential limited by the size of their parent's portfolio. Free public education is being attacked, too 'socialist' it seems, although we have had this system almost since the country was founded. Some people I have met are attacking public libraries the same way!

I also do not like that this current president is pushing the process along in that very direction. We have never had so many billionaires at the top, the president's cabinet has several.

I do not like what I see, and although I am much older now, I do still worry for my grandchildren.
