Top Democrat Chuck Schumer gives FULL endorsement to Trump policies (Obama, party)

It's interesting to see the sort of replies this is getting.
It sort of confirms my theory; a lot of people here have no principles at all. They believe in nothing. They just hate Democrats.
A normal person would say "it's nice to see some bipartisan support on something." That was my first thought. I'm not even a fan of those particular policies. I won't go into detail, as some are better than others, but I'm not aligned with them overall. Which is fine. The point though is that I'd, if I were in congress, be willing to work with Trump or anyone else who disagrees. The fact that the Senate Minority leader is showing willingness to work with a President of the other party is good. Working together, in spite of disagreements, is why you're elected. And yet, people here, rather than express gratitude for some civility, just ***** about Democrats instead. Becasue they're bitter and **** people.
Not to sound too much like the President, but I feel the best way to end this is with a simple word: Sad!

That's to get the attention of Trump voters to shift in favor of democrats in 18 and again for the presidency...

Bitterness on BOTH sides. Trump is bipartisan and an outsider. He and his supporters hate BOTH sides (establishment elites) which is why we voted for him. He is goal oriented and just wants to fulfill his campaign promises unlike most politicians. We agree with most of his policies. He also had expressed surprise a while back that Schumer was so anti Trump since Trump had been friendly and donated to his campaigns in the past as a fellow NYer. In politics you are supposed to repay favors so Schumer is betraying the first rule of politics, isn't he?
He seems to be laying low trying to avoid the Alt Left Progressive hysteria. If he and Nancy don't call off their Blue Guard jackals, they may be the ones getting the boot.
He's obviously worried about mid term elections. The Dems are already seen as against the working class people. They'll have to step up their fake concern for average Americans if they wish to make any gains.
Or the fact that many dems who thrive on a platform of promising free stuff to poor and underprivileged people, will have a hard time backing up that claim if more upper and middle class jobs keep getting outsourced, which provide the tax backbone for all of those welfare programs.

It has nothing to do with hating democrats, but just people have been through this before.
I voted for Obama to fix this mess, and in the end, he didn't do it. More empty promises.

You guys do realize that Trump basically took the general principles of the Democratic party, threw out all the actual policy ideas to make it happen, and wrapped it all up in a blanket of bigotry, right?
He essentially ran as a Democrat for bigots and morons who don't understand anything and can't process more than a bumper sticker slogan.

I'm not so sure repaying favors is the first rule of politics. Frankly, I think anyone who thinks that should be voted out... in some cases arrested. That sounds too much like corruption.
The first rule of politics, or rather serving in public office, is to do good by your constituents, whoever they may be. For Schumer, it's the state of New York. For Pelosi, it's 12th district of California. For Trump, it's the United States. Each one of these people has a different job. Pelosi represents a district, Schumer a state, Trump... he's the leader of the government, as in, not a representative.
Yes, there is bitterness on both sides, but let's not pretend Trump is the solution. He slings **** the same as everyone else. It's not an issue of which side is shining it. Not to sound too much like a mother, but it doesn't matter who started it. It doesn't matter who's doing it more. If we want a president who's going to "save us' (which we shouldn't; that's not his job), then the only righteous thing to do is to do everything in his or her power to reduce the divide in this country. And hell, that's true of any elected official at this point.
So were the democrats lying last election or are they telling lies now for the next election ?
