Forget this topic for a second. This is the problem with me.
I would like the POTUS and Congress to be successful, for the betterment of the country. However, I have no problem being critical, whether it's Trump, Obama, etc. I think most people think that's fair. You know, rational people.
But I've noticed a disturbing trend with some of his supporters. They are incapable of being rational and objective and can't fathom ever disagreeing with him. No human being, especially the POTUS, will be perfect. That is just a fact. Whoever is president, should be fairly critiqued by Americans, especially if there are patterns of questionable decisions and actions.
However, they resort to childish name-calling, ridiculous accusations and conspiracy theories and blaming everyone else from democracts, to republicans, to the media and anyone else that dare criticizes or challenges (no matter how fair) Trump. Anything they don't like is fake news, even if it's on tape or comes straight from the WH. And I haven't even touched on the double standards between him and Obama.
They deflect to Hillary and Election Day polls, they blame Obama, they blame the media and they call anyone who doesn't 100% agree with Trump an anti-American traitor with a mental disease.

It's a well documented fact that Trump lies. It's so common place that I personally don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. Provable lies are damaging in any relationship and especially dangerous on the world stage. Trump is a constant source of embarrassment.
