The good officers face tremendous backlash if they stand up against other cops. It's become a really bad culture.

It's a shame if that's the case.

They are really sick you know what's.

I've posted this before but in case you missed it:

Police Code of Silence Facts Revealed

Some external investigation should take place on forces where there are problems, and when they get to the bottom of them - everyone goes. Everyone.

Cops aren't good cops if they remain silent.

There are no good cops. They all break the same laws they hold us accountible for and they all sit silent while peers commit their own crimes.

I'm an ardent avoider of LE and have many unflattering stories to back up my POV, but it is untrue that there are no good cops. Some of them are really good. It's just that we've allowed a culture to develop that rewards militarism, and the revenue built from drug related seizures.

Exactly. Not all departments do this stuff.

I agree. When cops start holding each other accountable the country will improve immediately.

If good cops decide to "stand with" bad cops by not turning them in, then they are no longer good cops and should go down as accomplices-after-the-fact.

Good points to start charging cops as accomplices. Those rules apply to civilians.
