Trump actively, maliciously and intentionally promotes division, and he does so not to further his political agenda, but to boost his own ego. He demonizes the press because they report the truth rather than sugarcoat him the way Fox and Hannity do--because it hurts his ego. So he must make them really bad guys in the eyes of his cult. He demonizes the intelligence community because they won't behave the way he wants them to and because they want to enforce laws which he may be breaking.

That WV 'speech' last night was an attempt to get people to hate the FBI and intelligence community who are doing the investigations, by claiming it was intended to demean them (the supporters), which could not be further from the truth. Frankly--more than divisive--that speech was downright dangerous and possibly seditious. It is a tactic corrupt dictators use.
This. It is deeply disturbing.

Some of you are still spinning in "Selective Amnesia"... and stuff said is not even realistic..... when Right Winger Republicans try to claim they are not the catalysis of divisiveness. Right Winger Tea Party Types and Republicans and their Pledge to Fight Anything and Everything Obama did, is what promoted the divisiveness, and those groups were made up of 98.9% Right Winger and Republican minded "White People". !!!! They type that can't live civil with others in society, and they are unable to have any concept of how to respect Multi-Cultural Society of Ethnic and Racial Diversity.

The "Moderate Republicans" are not so much lost in the same type of mentality as the Right Wingers and Tea Party Types...

That's the biggest problem in America!!!!! If not for these types of white people, American would be a great country and still prospering in ways that would be amazing.

Nobody needs to dance around the truth.. American history is full of Right Winger Tea Party Types and The Current Day Mentality of Today's Republican "White People". !!!! They Hide out in by many group names under the banner of Evangelicals, which is also, comprised of KKK, Alt Right and Other Groups Driven by Racial and Ethnicity hate. They types have brought down everything they could while trying to promote the dominance by the wealthy, because they think the simple fact of their skin will gain them something.

again, as LBJ said about the ignorance of such racist types:

Trump uses that tactic and plays them like his own personal Yo-Yo.... Every time he gets caught in his own lies, and belligerence, he goes to his "right wing huddle group, and calls a rally, which is nothing more than a "keep e'm fired up on insidious commentary because they can't digest the real truths that are being address.. Give them a little hoop and holler, and sling in some belligerent tone and they go home happy and mind blind.

Exactly. Trump called Obama on gaining less respect for the US by the world? But HE TRUMP HIMSELF has done more harm then anything in the previous 8-years.

I live in small city PA where volunteer Fire-houses have their own restaurants and most a bar to help support it with limited gambling. I LISTEN TO WHAT IS SAID .... Many are staunch Trump supporters as Blue-collar hard working types. But the LUV as waned. He gives them nothing to boast about and many will admit he is crushing expectations they had.

Few are so naïve .... as to just give Trump total praise. They are not stupid. But certainly let down at this point. But NOTHING makes Obama look better in their eyes. So they maintain their positive stand on Trump over Obama.

Democrats need to have a moderate gun stand as that is a HUGE OBSTICLE with these more rural and small city type blue-color folk. What they HATE MOST..... is to remove more guns if they have some. Whether to just collect or hunt with. Most just collect them and many veterans.

But can this all go on for 3 1/2 more years? Never say never but ......

Please enlighten me: How has President Trump "damaged" America?

Please enlighten us. Is a 71 year old man so pathetically needy for attention he feels a compulsion to make up self-aggrandizing phone calls and tout them as true really the kind of man you believe a good representative of America throughout the world?

Trump is turning this country around economically. Obama's recovery was a government recovery, with his cronies on Wall Street benefiting. Trump is helping Main Street, and the American worker.

Alienating allies putting us in a more isolated and dangerous position in the world considering the many threats we face now. Rolling back environmental protections that protect not just the environment but our health. He is currently attempting to eliminate national monument protection for multiple sites on public lands.

Trump hasn't actually done anything for this country. He's put out a few poorly worded executive orders that have been tied up in the courts and can be overturned in a minute by the next president. He's instead devoted his time to ranting on twitter about the press not adoring him.

Those words aren't thrown around "by the left". They are reported by journalists on a daily basis all over the world and supported with evidence. Perhaps within the USA it's easy to believe it's a "left" thing, but the rest of the world views it as the craziest thing they've ever seen, accompanied with complete bewilderment that this is what people in the USA wanted. It's difficult to believe that Trump is any different from everyone else in the USA, so I hope you realize what people are thinking of the general population in the USA. Is that view of people in the USA damaging to the country? I would say yes, but if it's easier to believe that this is a "left" thing and that the rest of the world views Trump behavior as normal, go for it.

I guess, one should not quit their day job, because It's not likely one is going to make it as a stand up comedian. That has to be among the worst of bad jokes.

We are all quite sure to acknowledge that "kill some people" health care bill pushed by Republican was truly showing a concern for Main Street Americans !!! ... When fact is, the only concern it showed, was how they crafted a plan for massive numbers to be constructively set up to die off.

Trump hard stance against Unions and against Minimum wage hike is truly a mentality only one devoid or reason would claim its an act of benefit devoted to Main Street, the only thing such stand is devoted to, is "enriching the already wealthy", and turning people into a different level of Indentured Servitude, as he makes your kids low pay Apprentices, so they can have an 'endless supply of "slave wage labor made up of American's working poor's children.

And certainly, after talking about Mexican People as if they are not human, and then asking the Mexico President to help him lie, and in doing so, again disrespected Mexico, by even asking such, after one has denigrated the people of Mexico. As if he considered the Mexico' President to be without Integrity to stand up for him nation and his people.

The sheer Belligerent Arrogance of that, is a prime example of the delusion sense of white entitlement and delusion of superiority is the only thing that could drive one to such conduct, other than being a pure imbecile, to think the scope of such disrespect would not be seen and acknowledge for what it is.

Its as bad as someone calling another person house, and telling them how much they'd like to come and rape their daughter, after asking that person to pay them to come and do it, and then telling them, not to tell anybody that it was asked, after that person tell him to "go to H--- !!

This man respects nothing, certainly does not respect our governance system, disrespects our laws, our ethics, and our policies, and has shown every allies nothing but disrepute for their basic existence.

Trump represents the type of character that first came to America and disrespected the Indians, then tried to enslave them, and resulted to make treaties he had no intent to honor, and ultimately his own inhumanity led him to slaughter the Indians for no reason other than inhumanity wrapped in greed, vanity, and the haughtiness of vile pride. Trumps same mentality type went on to become the the vile of American Slavers.... and here we are in the 21st Century, still dealing with this type of mad man craziness.

I was shocked at the behavior I saw when he was elected and am still shocked at some of the behavior I still see. My friend teaches middle school and had some students telling Hispanic students "you are going to get sent back when the wall is built". Absolutely disgusting!

Trump and his actions have only aided in further separating our country. While Obama wasn't perfect, we seemed to get along better with him as president. The same goes for GW.

Lol, Trump's entire White House is full of Wall Street cronies. You guys display such insane hypocrisy it's mind blowing.

Obama's recovery was huge considering the disaster Bush left him with. Trump benefited from a healthy economy and has done absolutely nothing to improve it.
