Because she is the most high profile one and its a PR slap in the face to ignore it, not to mention you have to start somewhere and it sends a message. Why do YOU want a cop killer to be allowed to roam free?

Have you been there to make such bold statements ? I have. The people of Cuba are wonderful, interesting, and are the reason people go there, not to visit the Castros. It is stupid to not allow American citizens to go anywhere they choose. I was planning to sail there again later in the year, but Trump killed those plans. He did that simply to get back at Obama, no other logical reason.

So, unless you have been somewhere, you can not judge a country from travel brochures or what you hear from Trump.

Cuba's doing nothing we haven't done by protecting terrorists like Orlando Bosch.

So that includes North Korea and Syria? I think there is plenty of good reason to disallow travel to certain countries for American citizens, unless of course they want to go and be on their own and not allowed back.

Like I said 100 times, hold criminals responsible. There is no reason we shouldn't be fighting to have a known cop killer brought to justice.

And there's no reason we shouldn't clean our own house before telling others to clean theirs.

Yes, that has been driving our Cuba policy for 50 years! Finally, after 101 times we now understand.

but tell me about all the other scumbags in other countries we do deal with? in this case change policy across the board- if not bogus claim

Mauritania, Micronesia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Niger, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Samoa, São Tomé & Príncipe, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Vatican, Vietnam and Yemen.
If the above-mentioned countries fail to float your boat, consider this: Iceland, France, and Switzerland have been known to harbor U.S. fugitives, like sex-offender/film-maker Roman Polanski, despite having extradition treaties. Still, whether you'd want to follow in Polanski's or Edward Snowden- could be a nice place to hide.

Thought so.

Then why is it a big deal for you if it shouldn't be a big deal for Trump?

Of course the last sentence gives it away.
