I have no interest in being president, but on political matters, I assure you I am smarter than Donald Trump.

That is true of a good many adult human beings on this planet, though, so I hardly think I'm special in that regard.

It would be very easy to prove me wrong on this..... If you had proof to hand the judge in the case.

Proof I have, Hillary Clinton is not President and Democrats are switching party.

WaPo.... even agrees.

People think he's stupid because he IS stupid. He has no clue how this job works, yet he campaigned for it vigorously. And he has publicly stated that he doesn't like the job.

He knows how to attract attention. He hired people who knew how to run a political campaign. Thank his campaign management for running that. He didn't do it.

The credit he gets for winning goes solely to his ability to attract people who found him appealing as a person. He's not some sort of political or negotiations genius by any stretch of the imagination.

He's a pretty formidable bull****ter, though. I do give him credit for being gifted in the art of bull****.

Nobody's bashing him for any sort of "ego boost."

It's just really easy for people who aren't Trump fans to see why Trump is an unfit president and they're alarmed that there are people (though way less than the majority of voters by any definition) who think he's somehow remotely qualified.

Add that to what are pretty clear signs of dementia and you've got people complaining because they're worried about what he may do (or not do) next. Not people all bummed because this "genius" made it to the Oval Office and they don't like him.

Hell, if he was unlikable, yet qualified, more people would just tune out and wait for another election to try to get rid of him.

The whole "multi-millionaire" thing seems to really excite some of his base. I don't get it. He inherited money, he manipulated people and stole from them (he loves to stiff contractors), and he's been sued dozens of times for his mismanagement and habitual screwing up. That he somehow managed to parlay that into a reality show career and that he discovered Twitter and got the attention of a bunch of people who were ticked off because a black man was in the White House are the ways he won this election. He could easily have won it without being a supposed "millionaire" (he's actually supposed to be a "billionaire," but most of his fortune is on paper and we've never seen his taxes, so nobody knows) due to his popularity with the Birthers and Tea Partiers as long as he had the same sort of campaign team.

He didn't finance his own campaign. That much is on the record.

So, what was this thread about? You'll never get people who look at him, hear him speak, and immediately recognize that he's out of his depth to think he's a great president. Yes, you may eventually get people who find him tolerable if he makes a few changes (moves to scripted speeches, hires/appoints people who are less annoying and more qualified, etc) and if the economy and our relationships with other countries improve. You'll get people who tolerate him with less complaints, but you're not going to suddenly convince anyone he's not either clueless, mentally declining, or both.

I recommend reading transcripts of his speeches. If you can read those and still think he's got any clue in the world what he's doing and that he is a great leader, then nothing anyone says on here will ever convince you that they're simply concerned at his lack of fittedness because you think he's actually qualified. That people think he is qualified is quite baffling to those of us who see that he's not.

This isn't a case of "haters" so much as it's a case of legitimate concern.
This post is a failed attempt. You stated "He IS stupid" but have not showed evidence of stupidity, unless you are unaware of the definition.

Yup. We could start a very long list of people who've been "hauled to court" over a business situation, but not as many times as Trump or with so much money from their daddy to get going in business.

Bill Gates is another example.
Steve Jobs was another example.
Jeff Bezos? Another example.

We could go on, but the point is that Trump has had some pretty spectacular failures and without so much money from his father to keep himself appearing to be wealthy, he might be living in rent-subsidized apartment by now.

Though, I doubt that because, as I said earlier, he is an excellent bull****ter.

You should send him a letter and your resume. The country needs you..... It is your duty to save the nation.

Don't all con-mans tell us what we want to hear even though they have absolutely no capacity to deliver?

stupid: having or showing a great lack of intelligence or common sense.

He proved his utter lack of common sense by making up phone calsl that are easily checked and proven to have never existed, looking like the BS artist he is. Sounds stupid to me.

But not smart enough to know that constant anti-Trump internet blather will help Trump win a second term.

The successful ones surely do, and Trump is nothing if not a successful con-man.

Pick up any of his speeches and read the transcripts. Read a transcript of any of his interviews during the campaign or since he was elected. He's just not very knowledgeable about this job or anything a president does. At all.

There's my proof. If you cannot listen to the words coming out of his mouth and realize he has no clue what he's doing, I dunno how you can ever expect to see that he's just not particularly intelligent and lacks knowledge of government and politics here and abroad.
