Hmm. I won't speak for other areas, but DFW has not been in a "severe recession since 2008." Very far from it.

Beyond job loss, tens of millions of people would notice a 73% drop in their equity positions (on average) within a twelve-month span of time, just like they've noticed a 23.5% increase in their equity positions (on average) within the past nine months.

Democratic fiscal policies are typically a disaster for any economy. High regulation, High Taxation, and tons of wasteful spending is a few I think of.. it cripples the economy.

Rated #1, but we are overcrowded here. Please don't move here . My entire neighborhood is from California....they love to vote liberal, then once the liberal policies catch up (with high taxation)(in California) they move to destroy the next city they invade.....

This isn't the place for your whinging. But thank you for further dispelling Freak's absurd claim that nobody outside of the coasts is enjoying any prosperity.

Then explain Mississippi, one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation, a Republican state. Explain South Carolina.

Even better, which did a recession taken place under former President George H.W. Bush?

It will get no where near 6000 but it will crash. Yes, the GOP will take the brunt of the blame but they stood behind the reasons it will crash (bubbles always do) so screw em.

When history books are written it will be another blow to Obama though.

Nothing you say could stop me from moving to Austin. I live in Georgia. Georgia, has one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation. Georgia is a red state. And the places in Georgia with the worst unemployment rates(by metro area)

Austin metro area unemployment rate, 3.4 percent
Atlanta metro area unemployment rate, 4.7 percent. And Atlanta metro is actually the lowest among major metros in Georgia. It gets worse the further away from Atlanta you get, Democratic or Republican.

I'd rather be in Austin than Atlanta.
