No, they are just banning stupid lunacy like "Hillary Clinton runs a child prostitution ring from a pizza shop." You know, idiocy that can lead to gullible people - people who are happily self-identifying here as conservatives - to go out and kill people.

To put it bluntly, if you're getting your news from Facebook, Youtube, etc. you're already doing it wrong. I've seen the crap that passes as "news" on those sites, and they are cesspools of insane conspiracy theories and fact-free, meme-level drivel. No, posting a photo of the American flag with a caption "liberals hate this: vote Trump" is not "news" - it's child-level partisan idiocy. I've had right-wing, legacy friends show off social media "news" with pride as "proof" of various stupid and spiteful beliefs they have, and most of the "news" is so bad it doesn't even pass a basic common-sense test.

So, quite frankly, if you believe in that type of right-wing nonsense and are offended that some social media companies feel a sense of obligation to try to protect the truth, tough. If you want right-wing drivel, there's always Trump's tweets, lunacy bigot sites like Breitbart, and even the dismal, reposted-riddled, right-wing mess of this forum.

Yep, typical right-wing hypocrisy. Private businesses should be allowed to discriminate based on religion, sexuality, etc. but heaven forbid if you don't do business with goose-stepping, Trump-licking bigots.

Of course, this comes from the same party of nuts who believe that it is acceptable to deny somebody service or medical coverage because of their race, sexuality, or religion, but anybody should have access to as many guns as they want, no questions asked. They have neither perspective nor honesty.

Youtube(owned by Google) has been removing videos for 6 months now, after the Conservatives took over the messaging.

Googles ad-buys have also dropped all conservative based sellers.

Facebook, has been censoring for over 3 years now, but really ramped it up after Trump was sworn into office, with full permanent banning.

There is a class-action lawsuit in the works, for the censoring of political ideas and the 1st amendment, with cartels that have monopolized the Internets town square soapbox.
Then start your own google.....
