The problem with tRump's bold talk is that it leaves him boxed in.

There are only three things that can follow:

1. Kim backs down because he feels vulnerable

2. tRump backs down because he was bluffing

3. Neither Kim nor tRump backs down = War

Now, we have Kim claiming they'll launch 4 of their missiles towards Guam. As I heard, they'll be aimed 20 miles off the coast, so they won't violate Guam's territory. Similar to how they've been prodding Japan for years.

This will be an interesting month.

I am in agreement with this. Let's think back to some war situations for those of us who have any memory or have read anything about WW2. Do you think we would have just sat on our butts if threatened with an attack? Did FDR turn the other cheek when Hawaii was bombed? How many have any knowledge of Hitlers forces telling us, at one point to give up a battle and what do you think the answer was? The big difference now of course in nukes. And yes, that is scary.

I agree it's time to get tough with NK but Trump is going about it the wrong way. He [Trump] was dead on back during the campaign when he said that SK and Japan need to develop their own nuclear arsenals. We can then begin the process of pulling out of SK and Japan entirely and let them deal with all of this. This isn't to say we won't have their back, but with our troops gone NK will have one less excuse to act the way it does without facing extinction.

The fact is NK is not going to give up nor even stop furthering it's nuclear program short of military intervention. Washington, Seoul, Beijing, and Tokyo all know this. China, for it's part, needs to understand that if it wants to play games they're the ones who will be sitting in a proverbial "ring of fire" with India [they hate them], Japan and SK all at the ready.
