I've seen those. They were so over-the-top that I actually found them kind of funny.

Bad, huh?

Do you really think a makeup company gives a damn about the struggle of trans people or something like that? Of course not. But if they market makeup to men, they can sell more makeup.

Disney is motivated by money more than anything else. Going off about some evil political agenda makes you sounds too much like Alex Jones for many of us to take too serioulsy.
What kills me is him and the OP (and others) going off ranting about "bizarre lifestyles", when I've shown how I live my life isn't any different than anyone else's, and they won't even acknowledge it. Sometimes I wonder if they even believe their own bull****. I don't even know how they could. They don't even make any sense when they say **** like that.

Sometimes I wonder if it's envy. They probably think that folks they consider "deviants" are having a lot more sex than they are.

I have the feeling my area (SE NC) was some kind of test market as I was seeing the commercial probably 3-5 times a day for about 2 weeks, I no longer see it. What surprised me the most was what I'd thought a reputable company, AirWick, was behind it.

Thank you < 5% for shoving your bizarre lifestyles down our throats.

At least I'm not surprised it's Disney. I used to work at that trash heap.
It must be where you live. The subject comes up in a NYC pre school that I am familiar with every couple of years. Nobody cares.

You can monitor what your kids watch. Plenty of people do. My daughters would not allow anything Disney because of the way Disney portrayed females.

The grandkids didn't even like Disney when they saw it away from home. Thought it was dumb.

I don't have a problem with homosexuality in general. Most both gay and lesbian people live their lives as quietly and unassuming as I do myself. I have a lesbian friend (used to have two one passed from ovarian cancer a couple years ago RIP) and my sister is a lesbian. No gay male friends. That said, I have noticed that there has been a trend with TV shows to showcase homosexuality. More so with lesbians than gays and there is a general societal trend that accepts lesbianism on a far larger scale than with gay males. Among heterosexual males and females lesbian relationships are nowhere near as stigmatized as gay males. Even with lesbian women man:man relationships are tolerated of course, accepted, but it's a serious turn off for them. I find that rather...odd...but it's a fact and comes from the source.

Two women together doesn't bother most people in general, regardless of sexual preferences (bbut I'm excluding gay males here as I have no insight there) The majority of straight men will confess in private that they are quite turned on sexually by two women together and straight women will often enough confess similar thoughts. I find it to be confusing and I have been unable to reason it out as to why this is. Even with myself as lesbians do not have near the recoil in effect on me as gay men. I can't say why, don't have any scientific reason. It just is what it is.

I have only known one wo.an who I was close to in my life that didn't tell me they were ok with lesbians but not so with gay males. There is a huge industry that caters to male desire for lesbian porn, and a whole separate genre for women as well. And these...products...are used more by heterosexual people, men and women, than by actual professed lesbians. Hey, I'm open to commentary on this, but this is coming from firsthand, in depth personal experience.

I have had problems with lesbians twice in my life. These were militant "butch" types with serious attitude issues. One incident was in the workplace decades ago. It mainly involved just trolling for reaction with lewd conversation intended to be heard by me, silly buffonery in physical actions with each other aimed at shock factor. Yea, they just figured they could get a rise out of the young cowboy type fresh off the ranch and on my first job away from home. I only ever made one comment in reaction and it had the virtue of ending the silliness.

The next issue is more recent. About three years ago. And it was a bit more serious. Same situation. Militants butch type in cammo pants, muscle shirt that showed of fat, jello arms with sleeve tats, weird piercings and such. She followed my lady and I around the store (we were grocery shopping) . Openly leering at my. lady, wagging her tounge just being disgusting and provacative. My lady didnt notice her. She had suffered a head injury in a bad accident and she had tunnel vision. She could only focus on one thing at a time and her cognitive and comprehension abilities were very compromised. She had also suffered a trauma from an assault that execerbated things. I was VERY protective of her and for good reason. I just kept myself between my lady and the offender, and she just kept looking straight ahead and the thing walked off. I figured trouble over, my lady was none the wiser and no harm done. I walked off ahead of her and down the aisle a little bit looking for something specific and I heard my. lady yelp.

I spun around and this...thing..had come back from somewhere and had grabbed my lady's butt. Grab is a kind term, it was an invasive and disgusting grope, and here this creature stood daring me to do something about it. Myady was seriously confused and in fight or flight. Scrambling to get behind the cart. Next thing I know the thing was on the deck from a vicious clothesline. Store staff came running, my lady was crying (PTSD can do that and nothing could have been a worse trigger) and I just forgot everything but her.

This attempt at a statement ended very badly for this...person. And to my eternal gratitude and ultimate respect my sister and her partner came flying down to the store and if it weren't for them I would have had a far worse time bringing my lady back. They so got a good look at the offender before the Capitol Police hauled it off. They were every bit as livid as I was as we're a coup of their friends who came to their house where we went to get my lady some good space and these women were wonderful. They all were very fond of my lady and knew the story behind why she was so more than upset. There was a LOT of love and genuine caring around us and nothing was needed more.

So, I will state with firm conviction that I can't get on board with thethe prejudicial and uniformed commentary about depravity and such aimed at the lesbian community in general. Yes , this serious incident, that earned the perpetrator a sexual assault conviction in addition to some serious backlash from the local lesbian community, was caused by alesbian " but this person and types like it are prosona non grata with the mainstream lesbian community and we're it not for the efforts and genuine honest caring for my lady and I by four women, who happen to be lesbians my precious little lady (Rest In Peace my Love) would have been a lot more difficult to bring back to us.

I refuse to damn an entire group of people who have done me and mine no wrong and in point of fact has shown nothing but ultimate kindness because Hollywood, Disney whoever is making a pissed poor attempt at showcasing a lifestyle they actually have no clue about. My sister and her friends and my one friend have all told me they wish these TV dramatizations, which are very inaccurate and are strictly politically motivated would just go away. They tell me that they only serve to whip up negative sentiment (example OP) and draw their community and lives unwanted attention.

I sympathize as certain aspects of my own lifestyle draw uneeded, unwanted and negative attention because of limp attempts by TV producers. Between them and the fricking porn industry all that gets focus is the sexual aspects (which are pretty seriously skewed) of the lesbian community and the fact that they are people, caring, loving and giving human beings that would walk on coals for the people they care about is just ignored. I suppose that it's the sexual aspects that are giving lesbianism its wider acceptance within mainstream society as we have become a strictly sexually focused cuture. Everything is about sex. I'm rather glad that I have personally moved beyond, well beyond, viewing everything through a sexual prism. (Sigh) I could go on and on but I've rattled enough.

That's entirely possible, but just like anyone else, by the end of the day most of us are so tired we just want to sleep lol.

There are actually too few lesbians in the media, while every other film or series seems to have some gay guy in it, probably to add some fun.
It is odd actually because lesbians face much less opposition and cause much less hate than gays do. So one might think filmmakers supporting those non-standard orientations would opt for lesbians more, but they don't.
