The term "redneck" comes from poor white farmers who had to work over 13 hours a day in the field hunched over exposing their necks to the sun.

Why do leftists believe that being a white working class man who works hard to provide for his family is something that can be used to insult someone?

It's what they do. They love labeling anyone on the right with negative terms. They twisted this one to fit their agenda that so-called rednecks are ignorants who voted for Trump.

You are fabricating a complaint.

This is unfortunately a derision which predates us by over 100 years, and everyone uses it, it is not an exclusively liberal or conservative insult. It was not coined recently.

But to those people who hate Political Correctness, anything goes and this term is fair game as any other. As for myself I would prefer to be politically correct and refrain from petty insults to anyone ...

Except for Trump, he is a scalawag, carpetbagger Yankee.

There's always an exception, isn't there?

Rednecks are true American men, like me. Liberals are a sham.

Not really what the term means though:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redneck

While the start may have been innocent enough--as the term has been pejorative now for 100+ years--I think it a stretch to call it a 'Leftist' insult.

Really? Then why do leftists primarily use the term?

Right.

Barack Hussein Obama has his own words, like okie doke and back of the bus.

The word ignorant doesn't come to my mind. Willful is the word I'd use.
