I don't think the US is becoming like NK, but Trump is a lot like Kim Jong Un! Imagine Trump unleashed and without the other branches of government for checks and balances!
Sadly there are no checks and balances right now, the republicans have all the branches of the government including the supreme court. And they the republicans kiss Trump’s ring and bow at his feet. The republicans own Trump or should I say Trump owns the republicans. Ya’ have to lose all respect for most of them and how they react to Trump.
Illicit drugs seem to have taken their toll on poor Bill Maher. He is unable to distinguish being rich, living in a mansion, making millions of dollars complaining about our leader vs a country where he'd live in poverty and be horribly killed along with his family for slight dissent.
Apparently, like most conservatives on this forum, you share the same "I got mine" attitude and could care less for other people, as well as the planet. That's not the case with Bill Maher (not that you'll understand, of course).

Brazil got where it is via colonial exploitation, military coups, and more recently by socialist government policies. Trump is an anti-socialist, as such he is leading the U.S. in a different direction than Brazil.

Stopped free speech
Taken over the media
Taken away our legally owned guns, and the 2A
Abolished the Constitution
Jailed those who disagree with him
