I can't put this all at Trump's feet. This ugliness has always been there. It's been getting worse and worse since the election of Barack Obama. As soon as he was just nominated for office there was a huge spike in white supremacist activity. All Trump did was ride a wave that was already there to get into the white house.
I will say this is the first time in my lifetime that I've seen people on television, in the political arena, or even in everyday life use the term "White Supremacist" when not talking specifically about Klansmen.
They use the term because they know it is fully approved by Bannon and therefore Trump. It is now elevated to a position of sitting in the White House. When Trump speaks of Mexicans being rapists and "something crazy" with Muslims and all the other "dog whistles", what he is saying is that it is OK for the violent white supremacists to come out of the corner.
I mean - breitbart is/was one of those sites - and now it's been invited into the White House Press Corps. Bannon makes no two ways about it - he is working toward the "saving" of the European white male class - meaning he is a white supremacist.
I just saw a scary NRA commercial before a YT video that pretty much was telling NRA members that it's time to pull out their guns and kill lefties. The images were right out of Goebels playbook.
Note that the NRA will not say a word about the legal carry black dude shot by police. They will not protect or defend him. Despite having a diverse membership, the NRA is championing violence in the name of white people.

There were KKK in attendance. And I agree about it all getting worse since Obama's election. It has always been a nasty, festering boil, waiting for an excuse to rupture.
Civic nationalists are dubbed the Alt-Lite. They're not racists but can be seen as "cultural chauvinists". They invite anyone of any race as long as you except that the West is the best. They have black, Asian, Muslim, Jewish, Hispanics in their groups.
They're hated by the Alt-Right for not being racist, and they're hated by the left because they think they're being racist.
Ironically, both the Alt-Right and the far left think that you can't subtract culture from race.
I think civic nationalism will win out, the right wing is growing but I think people like the oathkeepers,proudboys other right wing groups etc are more interesting and have a better chance of succeeding . Sometimes i feel like the white racialists ethic nationalists just dont want to win , they just want to be "racially pure". As a musician I see that with purists in music as well.

That doesn't have a thing to do with what i said the violence was well underway before the nutcase ran over people. I saw some of the nationalists wearing helmets and I saw the left activists wearing helmets too.
The driver of that vehicle hated Trump and the White Nationalists demonstrating peacefully. He was one of the "left" that you are singing the virtues yet he was the one that brought violence in the most extreme way. fatal.
I never lie....your personal attack shows that you know I'm right (like always). Everyone committing violence including the white nationalist that drove that car and the anti white nationalists that attacked and punched the whiter nationalists are all culpable for their violence (only racists can disagree with this).

Can you imagine if the driver of the car who murdered the female protester and seriously injured several others, had been a member of ISIS?
Wouldn't that have deserved stronger condemnation from the President a bit stronger than a vague statement about both "sides" being culpable?
This was an act of domestic terrorism, and the hateful white far right nationalists ARE at fault, not the anti-protesters.

Trump did. The White nationalists who think that America should be all white. They better realize we are all races and colors and it has always been. The radical left loves to divide us instead of unite us. Both are WRONG.
