This is the same argument those who condemned the BLM rallies used. That many of the people were not from the area but had come in from elsewhere.
So I will ask this. Does it matter where people live or is it the ideas?
The ideas and how they are expressed, of course.
But in this case, locality makes a difference in that it is a town council decision about their own statue of Robert E. Lee. Why would people in Ohio have any say in Charlottesville's affairs?
Or Washington? One man was head of the Washington State University young Republican group.
BLM focuses on police shooting and mistreating people of color. That is the concern of people all over the nation.

Pressure, criticism mount for Trump after Charlottesville
The White House tried to stem the damage on Sunday. Senior aides were dispatched to the morning news shows, yet they struggled at times to explain the president's position.
A new White House statement on Sunday explicitly denounced the Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazi groups, but it was attributed to an unnamed spokesperson and not the president himself. Pressure, criticism mount for Trump after Charlottesville
Everyone..... except for the LIKE-MINDED- BRAINDEAD Trump ZOMBIES knows what a subhuman racist bigot the bottom-dwelling Pond-scum Trump is!
The one side is as bad as the other defense is a ridiculous insult.
One group, many from Ohio for some strange reason, held torches, chanted Nazi slogans, waved swastika flags, beat up a man, and killed a woman.
The other group, many from Charlottesville, held hands, and sang, "This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine.
Jesus, one of those identified in the last few hours is the nephew of a woman with whom I went to high school! I recognized the name, and a few googles later, I had the connection. There's a striking family resemblance.
The unnamed spokesperson is just ridiculous. The Trump White House appears to be ashamed to denounce white supremacists carrying Nazi flags. They are actually ashamed to denounce that so the refuse to attribute it to anyone.
We can also expect some new and outrageous announcement to distract from all this news. Count on it, there will be an emergency distraction.

Ew.
Crowdsourcing is being used to identify those involved.
So far, at least one of those who were beating that man have been identified. But there are photos of others being circulated.
I imagine quite a few people are going to have the same experience you just had.
