I'll direct my energy on identifying root-causes and furthering education in hope we can one day live in a society free from hate and bigotry.
Tell me this, what is the root cause you've identified?

Liberals handing out free stuff creating a dependent class. Demanding more and more free stuff screeching racism when they don't get it.

All hood rats regardless of race need to be put down like rabid dogs.

Stop welfare and single parenthood. Hunger is a great motivator.

Poverty. Poverty breeds violence. Poverty breeds extremism.

IQ and poverty are linked. The poorer you are, the lower your IQ. Scientifically.

Drug laws. A young, black male with a drug conviction is about 100 times more likely to remain in poverty. I've already advocated just purging all petty, non-violent drug convictions. Waste of human resources.

Put all these things together and stir and people begin to hate. Add in the media with an agenda and it becomes explosive.

We have policies designed to keep Americans poor. Guess which party supports those policies?

What can we do as a diverse populace to address this very serious problem?

Your link discredits this entire thread. The SPLC is itself a "hate group" and it is financed by George Soros, its primary benefactor.

Your specific issue seems to be that you don't believe the groups the SPLC has on hate watch should be there and the info they use to add a group might be confidential and proprietary. You might not have the criteria but it doesn't change a thing... Whether you believe these groups should be classified as hate groups or not they are and a lack of criteria doesn't change a thing...

You either agree or disagree and move on...

Never let a conservative derail an important topic by leading you down the rabbit hole...
Your thread did bring to light the rapid increase in black hate groups. Why have they showed a 70% increase from 2014 to 2016?

Anyone with even an ounce of common sense understands what a hate group is..
You, nor the SPLC, are the final arbiter of what defines "hate". At this point, we can conclude that "differences in opinion" can get someone stuffed into this pigeonhole.

When someone pushing an agenda, thinly veiled as *social justice*, uses a seemingly benign list, such as your SPLC reference, as a tool....it's no wonder you can't get people to the table to talk to you.

Furthermore, your handwaving and hyperbole infested statements like...

"Anyone here with an ounce of common sense understands what a hate group is"

Or

"Our education system is failing us"

Are dismissive

Can you give a clear, objective description of a hate group or not?

Are those that espouse special privileges, funding, quotas, dispensations for their subgroup a "hater" ?
SPLC = hate group ?
NAACP = hate group ?
BLM = hate group ?

If you advocate EQUAL RIGHTS and EQUAL DUTIES, are you also a "hater" ?

Both main parties.

Let's try that again for fun since you failed to reply the first time.

"All hate groups have beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics."

"Hate group activities can include criminal acts, marches, rallies, speeches, meetings, leafleting or publishing."
