If you wanted the protesters this past weekend doxed for simply attending the rally surely you would want law-breakers doxed, no?
I doubt their employers will care for the most part. The imagery is just no there to negatively effect business. But I am sure someone will try to dox them. The problem is the doxxing relies on the larger web of people on social media sharing and caring about finding these people. I don't think too many people are interested in finding those people.
Should folks on social media inform the employers of these protesters considering they've committed a criminal act?
Folks who simply attended the rally this past weekend in Virginia were doxxed. These folks who took part in toppling the statue have actually broken the law.

What is the difference between the protesters this past weekend and today's incident?
The first thing that pops out is that people who didn't break any laws this past weekend were doxed while we have those who broke laws today.
I'm trying to understand why one group has been doxed while today's group is not likely to be doxed, as you've stated.
I think the people who destroyed the statue should have to put it back up and pay for any restoration.
I have never been a fan of tattling. Wouldn't that be the same as the thread title? "Doxed" is a new word for me.
"Tattle tail, Tattle tail.
Hang your britches on a nail.
Hang them high,
Hang them low,
Hang them on a stereo."
