Sure. But what's your point? These statues should not be removed? They were put up during the Jim Crow era and were meant to intimidate the black folks just as much as they were meant to honor the legacy of slavery and the confederacy. So why shouldn't they be removed? They should have been removed long ago. They are an insult to the country.
You say, what about g Washington and Jefferson? Yes they owned slaves, but they also created the country and they fought for it. Lee and others tried to destroy the union and the country. Hence the former were founding fathers and should be celebrated for their act of creating the country. The latter were traitors and should never have been celebrated with statues. The confederacy lost. Get over it. How hard is it to understand?
BLM and Antifa are two recent and boisterous groups protesting what they see as social and economic injustices.
The KKK, the Nazis and white nationalists advocate the extermination and removed of all non whites. Their history and philosophies of terror, violence and genocide are unparalleled. How do you even try to draw some sort of moral equivalent between these two?
Antifa has destroyed property in the US and committed violence on other human beings that don't hold their beliefs, basically a hate group.
As for BLM, the black guy that shot the police officers 5 or 6 was it? He wasn't apart of BLM, as for their history of violence nothing, compares to the KKK, not even close. That doesn't mean they should commit random acts of it either.
Then people will just have to accept it. Just like I accept decisions I don't agree with.
